Exactly!

Some of the people made up their minds before they heard the first song. I know that they are upset that they lost their station (as I would be if Totally 70's went away) but they need to try and judge this station on its merits to meet the needs of the Sirius audience.

I think this will be a hit, I know that I like all kinds of music and will tune in to see what comes up next!
Meet the needs of which part of Sirius` audience? I pay the same as everyone else but programming 4 me is now limited to maybe 4 stations.

Do we really need all this classic rock? Especially, when it is the same songs just spread out on different channels.

If you limit yourself to 4 channels that isn't about SIRIUS that is because you limit yourself musically. I remember when I first signed up for Sat Radio about the only thing I ever listened to was Country. Now, I like Jazz and Standards, I like Classic Rock, Dance, R&B. Heck I've even been known to listen to some classical when I am in the mood.

Sat Radio opened me up musically and allowed me to spread my horizons to other genres besides just Country. I still dearly love Country.

The bottom line is that if Sirius isn't of value to you, then maybe its just not for you.

In regards to SuperShuffle, I think we'll find them opening up the playlist a bit more after they get feedback. I can agree that they are over doing the Classic Rock, but I have heard some R&B, Country, 60s, 70. 80s. Like Jeff I would have liked them to throw in some 90's, but then again so many channels SIRIUS has does todays hits. For Example you've got Hits One, Starlight, Love, 90s and The Bridge even throwing in some of Today's Hits so that doesn't need to be included in my opinion. I personally was not expecting to hear Rap, Dance or Classical music thrown into the mix. But clearly others were. Less all the classic rock this channel will be perfect as far as my taste go. But I know I am not the only listener.

You could say the same thing for POP on Sirius via all the channels listed above. The crossover is wide. But it is sort of nice having a single channel to hear it all. I actually did expect this channel to have more pop, but I am almost glad it doesn't, but I guess a little wouldn't hurt since it's in the POP category.

But you do make a valid point with all the classic rock being played on this channel.

So far this is the only new station I have listened too. Listen to it for about 4 hours at work. All my co-workers (some are future subs) and myself like this channel alot.

Actually, I think the opposite is true. There is a limited amount of stations for those of us who DON'T want to limit ourselves musically. I bought Sirius for it's unique programming. Since I have been a subscriber, it has axed many of those unique stations in favor of hits/rock stations which duplicate each other. When 80% of the stations are playing the same songs, it doesn't matter if Sirius has 1000 stations.

I give it a 7.5 out of 10. A few tweaks and I'll bet I could get hooked on this channel.

ADD MORE CURRENTS!!! Popular rock / soft rock from the 90's and today added in would make this a much better variety for people I want to show off Sirius too.

This channel has a great potential of being a showcase channel that I can have going to show off the quality, music variety, and technology.

Sorry, but I am totally missing this logic. The fact is that those complaining generally limit themselves to a specific genre, so when channels in that ONE genre get deleted here we go. My point don't limit yourself to just one genre it is exactly what I use to do. So, no I have to disagree with your logic, I like mine better.

It's a great idea for a station and I can see myself putting this channel on as background music for like a party or sitting by the campfire with a group of people that I know, but don't know that well. Good party / entertaining station since so far the mix has been all popular music. Basically it's like the pulse - but all decades, so all in all not a bad idea.

I will have to say that it was fun to hear the "NY NY" song this morning by Frank Sinatra - but then the randomness charm slowly wore off after i went deeper into the channel.

That coffee channel is pretty sweet for early morning at work.

But Dab we already have a single channel that plays it all in classic rock ... Spectrum

This station is a lot like Spectrum with and ocassional R&B or Country song.

The problem is that Sirius keeps taking away stations which comprise entire genres in favor of pop rock. Sure, there's some diversity if you like the "hits from yesterday and today." If you would prefer listening to any other genre (jazz, folk, classical, standards, dance, etc.), your choices keep getting more limited.

I just disagree, I have listened to Spectrum and I am hearing a lot of music I just don't hear on there. Don't get me wrong bro, I agree that Sirius really need to look at merging some of their Rock channels. I think we'll see that happen when they add those canadian channels. In fact I almost dread what channels we'll end up losing when that happens.

I dont limit myself 2 certain genres of music I like almost ALL music (except house).I am also a fan of rock from way back some of the new stuff I like some I dont. However it`s no secret amongest my fellow SBS`ers what my favorite genre is and Sirius in their infinate wisdom feels this is a genre that does not need attention.

Well perhaps I miss understood when you said you are now limited to just 4 channels that you can listen too. I found that might low considering all the channels and genres that SIRIUS has.

By the way, please edit the quoted information in your replies so that only that information necessary is in the post. Thanks..

Maybe 4 channels that I can listen 2 for more than 1 or 2 songs B4 I have to change stations because the R&B stations R playing the same tired top 40 motown and blah blah blah. And Backspin needs 2 jump in2 the wayback machine and dig in the crates.

Ahhh.. gotcha... hmm, that has never been an issue with me. In fact I generally leave my tuner on the same channel for hours at a time. But different strokes for different folks. I've been on SuperShuffle for about 3 hours now and enjoying the heck out of it. I am not much of a channel surfer though.
