Ahhh.. gotcha... hmm, that has never been an issue with me. In fact I generally leave my tuner on the same channel for hours at a time. But different strokes for different folks. I've been on SuperShuffle for about 3 hours now and enjoying the heck out of it. I am not much of a channel surfer though.
Maybe I`m 2 picky but I want my music 2 move me I am not a fan of love songs/ballards I WANT MY FUNK.I mean c`mon U gotta admit that when it comes to the genre Sirius says NO.If not a dedicated channel maybe a couple of hours/day.

After listening for a while, I find no hope and firmly believe this channel needs to be tweaked. I could see adding songs from:

The Pulse
Hits One
The Beat
Sirius Disorder
Alt Nation
Radio 1
Spa 73
The Globe
Broadway's Best
Sirius Blues
Underground Garage

All of those have music that isn't too clashing with the other genres. Right now 99% of the songs on Super Shuffle come from:

Classic Vinyl
Classic Rewind
60s Vibrations
Totally 70s
Big 80s
First Wave

In my mind it is a very bland music mix. Good for background music, but that's about it. None of those 'oh wows' I was expecting to hear. What it is now is The Spectrum's playlist until 1990 with 1-2 songs/hour that are standards/country. I would prefer Folktown to this mix.

Man I so wanted to instantly love this channel when I heard what it was, but so far... It's OK... It is too much rock, not enough pop, or other variety like you just mentioned....

It is only the first day, so I hope they open up the playlist MUCH wider soon, or this will not be a very popular channel with a lot of people... We'll see, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed it can improve...

Just heard the 'uncut' version of 'Break on Through' by the Doors, where he says 'She get' then says HIIIIGH!! I've never heard that version before even on their greatest hits. That was a suprise!

I'm enjoying it, all I've heard it decades and rock though. I went ahead and added it to my presets.

Jon in the chatroom brought up an interesting point that they may do different genres on different days, which make sense after listening to it and only hearing decades/classic rock.

UGH! I put it for about an hour this morning and found it to be what I feared it would be- a waste of bandwidth.

Like most others here, I simply found it to be mostly classic rock with some kind of standard occasionally thrown in. Given the playlist so far, I can't say that I think it was worth losing Remix, Folktown or Wax over. While I rarely listened to those streams, they filled a niche that can't be heard on FM. Supershuffle is essentially what I thought it would be, just another JACK type station.

I love Coffeehouse, though.

That's a great idea. Even if the day was subdivided so that several different genres were played, it would do a great job of filling in the genres that Sirius is weak in.

I like the eclectic nature of Fine Tuning, but Super Shuffle is just like pressing a random channel button.

I'll tune back in several times over the next few days
any examples of what they're playing on here?

I agree with you though, SIRIUS has a tough JOB!
Exactly!

Some of the people made up their minds before they heard the first song. I know that they are upset that they lost their station (as I would be if Totally 70's went away) but they need to try and judge this station on its merits to meet the needs of the Sirius audience.

I think this will be a hit, I know that I like all kinds of music and will tune in to see what comes up next!
Meet the needs of which part of Sirius` audience? I pay the same as everyone else but programming 4 me is now limited to maybe 4 stations.
Hopefully the larger part of the audience. They are a for profit business and they need to appeal to as many people as possible.

Way too much dinosaur rock for this to be called 'Super Shuffle'!

We already have Classic Vinyl and Classic Rewind.
