This sounds sweet! Kind of like Super Shuffle but with a party attitude. Theres a station on Music Choice called Party Favorites which is sort of like this and but I think this mix is even better. Its a real cool idea.

Default Re: POP CHANNEL ENTRIES

I don't know if mods can qualify, but here's my idea:

1) The Workout
2) Upbeat Contemporary
3) Spanning several genres, The Workout plays music you would want to hear while running, whether it is on a treadmill or outside. The music is upbeat, continuously pumping, and familiar, what many people who are jogging/working out like to listen to.
4)
a) Fountains of Wayne - Bright Future in Sales
b) Tommy Tutone - 867-5309
c) Paul Simon - Kodachrome
d) OutKast - Hey Ya!
e) B-52s - Love Shack
f) EMF - Unbelievable
g) The Ataris - Boys of Summer
h) Spin Doctors - Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
i) Oakenfold vs. Bond - James Bond Theme
j) The 5,6,7,8s - Woo hoo
(many songs made to go slightly faster)

5) It will run jockless, with songs going seamlessly from one to the next - no down time. Liners would be read over the outro/intro to the song. Liners would include "You workout 30 minutes a day 3 days a week; we do it 24/7 at Sirius 00, The Workout" "Why Work when you can work out? Sirius 00, The Workout" It would be a hit in YMCAs, LA Fitnesses, etc. and with the live wearables right around the corner, joggers can use it as well.

Specials:

My Mix - run once a day, it is a 30 minute mix of a listener's workout music. Done in a similar format to how "My 3 Songs" is done on The Spectrum
