wbcn, I don't know about all that. I've seen the light for a long time, you should didn't see it. I've never been a fan of SIRIUS management or the folks they have over programming. These folks are so isolated (in a box) and out of touch it isn't even funny. They rely of folks to tell them that are even deeper in the FM box, so how do they know what is going on.

If I was in charge of SIRIUS, I'd fire the who lot of them started with Steve Blatter. Totally clueless!

I sent an email on that Bridge page that was linked telling them my thoughts about the idiot that made it the Who channel. Probably do no good, but I got to vent.

I like the Who but my lord all things in moderation. The Who probably doesn't even listen to the channel and if I ever hear another who song it will be too soon. (CSI)

Thumbs up

I e-mailed Sirius, and I wanted to share the response I got because it was pretty good. In short, they said it was on "brief hiatus" which is better than gone for good.

Dear Matt,

Thank you for contacting SIRIUS regarding music programming. We're glad
to help!

We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us regarding The
Bridge. Your feedback is important to us.

It was difficult to decide which SIRIUS channel should serve as the
temporary home for The Who Channel, as any channel we chose would mean
that some subscribers would be without their favorite channel for a
period of time. Ultimately we chose to put The Bridge on brief hiatus
because many Bridge listeners also spend a lot of time on the other
channels that share some of The Bridge's music. Channels like The
Coffeehouse // Ch. 30, The Spectrum // Ch.18, Radio Margaritaville //
Ch. 31, Movin' Easy // Ch. 4 and Totally 70s // Ch. 7 play some of the
music that makes up The Bridge…meaning that Bridge fans will not need to
go without Jackson Browne, The Eagles, James Taylor and other favorite
artists while The Who Channel is on Channel 10.

We are committed to providing you with the best in customer care. If
you have any more questions, please feel free to contact SIRIUS Customer
Care. For your convenience, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week at:

1-888-539-SIRIUS (7474)

The bottom line is they wouldn't have to worry about taking over ANY channel if they had a dedicated rotating channel for things like this. Personally, I don't believe the "brief" thing for a second. Rolling Stones Radio has been on for over a year.

Most of the time Sirius does a good job of programming, but it's stupid not to have a dedicated channel for stuff like this. I know they have limited bandwidth (why it's taking so long to get this new hierarchial modulation stuff up is another story), but come on.

Not to mention, this might be a canned response written at the beginning of the Who Channel. But I still think they've since decided to drop the Bridge entirely. There's just no mention at all on the web site, while there was a mention for a short time. The last time that happened was with the Globe - for a while they had a page stating that the Globe was coming soon, but they subsequently removed the page. Is anyone realistically waiting for the Globe still?

Yeah, enough with The Who 24/7. They were a good band, but when you're digging through the archives for live Pete Townshend versions, enough's enough already.

My vote for the next featured artist is Toto. Imagine the various renditions of 'Roseanna' we could enjoy. Can I get a witness? No? How about Little River Band? Come on, work with me people.

Funny, I emailed Sirius on the same topic, basically saying that when/if they would bring the Bridge back, and they sent me the same exact response, except it was from Michelle instead of Alicia. Oh well, maybe some day. :/

Someone mentioned a Wham! reunion coming up, maybe we can get an all 'Wham!' channel.
