Default Favorite Beatles album

Since the release of 'Love' I've noticed a bit more interest in the lads from Liverpool, just wondering what were the favorite albums of theirs by all of y'all.

Each of those albums could be argued to varrying degrees that they're not 'true' records, but that's not why I didn't choose them, not really. These polls only allow for ten placings. 'Let it Be' is a posthumous collection of what would've been a record had the group not shelved the sessions. 'Yellow Submarine' is a collection of half a record of 'Pepper' era songs thrown onto a record of George Martin music. Although 'Magical Mystery Tour' makes for an amazing record, it was originally an E.P. release in Britain, the album was another collection of the E.P. saddled with stray tunes of the time. Hope that answers your post.

What about "The Beatles Featuring Tony Sheridan"? (kidding....)

That really is a tough one. Revolver was always in the running for me but in the end I have to go with the obvious, Sgt. Pepper; not only was the music great but the whole album was a beautiful, perfect snapshot of such a critical time in pop culture.

By the way ... not that anyone asked but of the post-Beatle solo albums nothing comes close to "John Lennon/ Plastic Ono Band". The minimialism and effects of John's primal scream therapy resulted in an under-appreciated masterpiece. When I'm feeling down I put that album on from start to finish and while it won't necessariy bring "instant happiness" it will surely make make me feel much better than before ("Can't do you no harm to feel your own pain").

It has to be Let It Be. I know a lot of people don't like it (or even add it to a list of Beatles Albums), but this is the one that I love the most.

Phil Spector reproduced this album. Get Back, Across the Universe, and Let It Be have great album and single version. Two of Us is also one of my favorite song.

I have Let It Be... Naked, but I still enjoy the original US version of Let It Be over at verson...

And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow
Let it be...

Good question. Results are pretty close. I voted for the White Album.

Any chance of Sirius putting an all Beatle channel up - at least for a few months?

I would love to have an all-Beatles channel--if you include the group recordings, the individual recordings, and all the covers of their songs by other artists, you could go almost forever without repeating things.

Somewhere amongst the archives lays buried many a post on this topic. Suffice to say, it all comes down to money...for the band. The Who and The Stones are still touring, so it makes dollars and sense, the Elvis channel apparently is big help to Sirius for selling radios out of those Graceland tours, the Springsteen thing, I don't get.

I think if Sirius had the Beatles it would be a HUUUUUGE factor in getting subs. Could you imagine the Christmas spike in subs if there were commercials on television talking about the fabs being on 24 hours a day? Baby boomers with all of that disposable income would finally take the plunge.

And by the way..to the naysayers of such an idea...I know they're already played to death on several stations. But selling the idea of a dedicated channel, especially at Christmas would be huge.

Sgt. Pepper and Rubber Soul were the only albums I could really get into. Other than that I was never really into them, not a bad group, but there's other stuff I'd rather listen to.

Not a bad group? ROTFLMAO.

Sounds like a man who has never heard the other albums.

"I hope we passed the audition".
