Default Does Jose ever shut the f**k up?!?

This guy (Hard Attack Jose) is seriously making me consider cancelling my sub...many metal songs have long intros (sometimes two or three minutes) and he talks over every fucking one of them. I don't care how much talking there is between songs, but this is worse than regular FM. I wrote a similar topic a couple of months back and even emailed Jose himself, but got no reply (it's even seemed to get worse recently).

This "DJs talking over the music" bullshit is getting very old, and is a widespread problem on quite a few channels...not just Hard Attack. I've emailed several of them about this and they either avoid the question altogether or simply don't reply back at all. I'm starting to think they're being told by the higher-ups to do this, and to avoid any complaints whatsoever. This is yet another example of SIRIUS trying to mimic the FM format.

Jose is one smart dude when it comes to metal. If you take the time to actually listen to him instead of bitching about his talking through a song, then you may just learn something that you never knew.

It's amazing...in one thread we're trying to stop censorship on SIRIUS and in this one you want to censor someone from doing their job. Sheesh.

Hey, I love hearing Jose. But his job is to talk between the music not over it. There's no excuse it...simple as that.

You completely misunderstood my post. I don't care if Jose wants to talk about which hand Lars Ulrich wipes his ass with for 45 f@#$%^g minutes in between songs, but once the first note starts...shut the f@#$ up...please

And one other thing: if you think that is censorship, you need to gain a little perspective.

Ok, I was a bit tired last night when I first wrote my reply, and now that I re-read my post the censorship part didn't make sense. My bad.

But anyway, so what if Jose or any DJ for that matter talks during a song? It's been that way since the days of Wolfman Jack (and probably even before then) and it will continue wheter people like it or not. There are other alternatives if you don't like someone talking over songs, like an iPod or CDs.

Because "hitting the pole" was one of the major annoyances of FM Radio, and why many of us turned to satellite radio to get away from that kind of crap. I hear what you're saying...but there's still no excuse for it when people are paying for this service. Do you honestly want to hear the songs you love with someone always talking through them? Jose and many of the SIRIUS DJs provide lots of useful information, and I'm glad we have them, but they need to learn when to shut up. If the DJs at SIRIUS Disorder can do it, there's no reason why everyone else can't.

Jose reminds me of a guy I used to work with that I could not and still can not stand. Jose does love to hear himself talk, and seems overly excited about everything. Yes, he knows what he's talking about, but he needs to relax just a bit.

Just my 2¢.

All I can say is. You all need to chill. And listen to him. So you miss a few notes. So you miss a worthless 3seconds of a song. I like what he has to say and if I had my choice I would ask him to share more of his great stories and stuff. I like Jose and I love hard attack. I wish Amy S. were still on. Just Like Ian Christe and Bobby black. They have all the respect from me and if I miss a few notes to hear them for a few more seconds. Then so be it

It's more than 3 seconds. And just because a DJ is good at what he/she does, that doesn't give them an open invitation to talk through our music that we're paying to hear.

Wow...I can't believe that some people are happy to miss significant portions of songs. I figured I'd close to 100% support on this, but it looks like I'll have to go exclusively to CD's if I actually want to hear an entire song. This is part of the reason I went to Sirius in May of 2003; I was tired of hearing music butchered for length or content, and DJ's talking over intros (as I've said I have no problem with talk in between songs...I actually enjoy alot of it). A year and a half later Sirius is doing both...great way to run a business guys.

TxM-odeSSa, if that's the case, and they have so much indispensible knowledge, how about they just start talking at random points during a song? It's only that "worthless" three seconds in the middle. Haven't you ever heard the first note of a song, felt your blood perk up, crank up the stereo...then have to wait through some jerk-off talking about nothing?
