I'm merely saying that when considering the assembly of a playlist, Hair Nation might do well to pick something other than the MOST obvious song by any given band. When picking a GNR song, don't pick Welcome to the Jungle. Not because its a bad song...its not. Its simply that every single one of us has heard that song 14 million times (at least). And c'mon...every one of us knows every song from Appetite. Are Mr Brownstone or Its So Easy really considered "deep tracks"? I think not.

I'm not fool enough to expect wildly obscure from Hair Nation. I get that they aren't going to play "Seducer" from Saraya's "When the Blackbird Sings" (even though thats a SLAMMIN' song). I'm just asking for something other than the bloody top 10 hit. Because why would you want to pay $13/month for that?

I remember listening to the Cool Guy show once, and someone called in to request Enter Sandman. Cool Guy said "Oh come on...you can do better than that." So he played Jump in the Fire. That was awesome. Jump in the Fire is awesome, classic Metallica. I think I heard Enter Sandman on LiteFM the other day. See what I'm saying? A little effort goes a long way in justifying the cost of satellite. These are supposed to be the music rebels. The ones who'll play what the others won't. Even Adam Curry circa 1987 did better than this.
Thats how I felt when I listened to the boneyard, Same repeated b-side tune. Hair nation is a rebel station as you will not here these tunes anywhere else but Hair nation. And if you want to think that Sirius is the only sat that has repetition, check this out http://www.xmfan.com/viewtopic.php?t=27552

You either love this stuff or hate it. And if you hate it, change the channel!
Yeah according to the Moderators over on XM's form they have been hearing repeats within 2 hours of the same song. That is just crazy and uncalled for.

Good thing Hair Nation does not follow that same format. I dont mind hearing the same artist within the hour but same song in 2 hours. ouch.

And to think the song repeats are "side B cuts." That sucks.....

Any chance that Hair Nation has a show to feature new material from the artists they frequently play?

I have to agree that Hair Nation was the very first channel I started listening to and I LOVE IT!! I am a newb to Sirius so I can also say that I really like being able to look up on the dash and see exactly what song is playing. Keep up the good work HN!

HN doesn't seem to be too big on special shows, so I doubt this would happen. It can't hurt to email the station and ask though!

They used to try to mix in some "new hair cuts" into the programming when a big band of the era had a new song out, but I haven't heard any "new hair cuts" in a long time.

Hair nation did it to me again last night. I listened for 10 hours, heard new tunes that I have never heard before and, Dangerous Darren had the bar rocking with mixed drinks! And lets not forget the master, Long paul!

I listened to Hair nation only for 9 hours. I gave some time to Buzzsaw and Hard attack. Where is the rock you ask? Sirius!

Default Hair Nation Rocks!

So far, Hair Nation is the only reason that I would consider keeping Sirius. I had XM for over 3 years- loved every bit of it. XM can't touch Hair Nation. Bone Yard sucks, way too over the board.

My only knock with Hair Nation is all the GNR. I LOVE GNR! But I'm starting to tire of "Patience" and "Sweet Child of Mine."

Anyone out there- Is there a channel that plays a lot of the 90's grunge rock? Just curious.
