I would have never made my previous post if you hadn't just questioned why somebody who complains about the station would still listen Just offering up a potential answer to your question based on personal experience.

Anyway, I'll keep my complaints or suggestions to the other threads where it's not out of character for the theme of the thread.

You guys enjoy!!
Keep looking up... It'll be an uphill battle for ya... HN not gonna change.

Anyone out there- Is there a channel that plays a lot of the 90's grunge rock? Just curious.
Yeah I dumped XM because of HN. Many on here have done the same and starting to see a trend.

Now back to the party

Now time for a nother great tune on Hair Nation and another In-and-Out Burger to go with it.
Actually, I hardly ever tune in anymore...I can't stand all the same lame songs over and over. I might tune in for 5 - 10 minutes but, usually when I hit the preset, there is always some heavily rotated crap playing.

I listen to www.hardrockin80s.com (way better than HN and it is commerical free also) when I am at home and I make mp3 cd's for the car...I can make better playlists...

Actually, it's not that strange. If he's anything like me, he loves the 80's rock genre, so he keeps going over to HN hoping that he might hear a different song or some general improvements in the playlist. When that doesn't happen, he probably goes to another station for a while, only to go back to HN a little while later with the same hopes. That was me for about two years Unfortunately, I've given up hope at this point and find it much less frustrating by simply looking for HN improvements by looking at the song search website. If I see different songs being added in, then I'll tune back in.
That is exactly what I do...I too have given up hope...

It will if there are enough complaints and overall listenership drops on a stream.

Frankly, your attitude is very narrow minded towards others who appreciate and have a wider background in a genre then you do. It would never hurt you to open your ears a little more. I just don't understand how you can be fed the same drivel and not tire of it day in and day out....I guess some folks just have a higher tolerance for bullshit.

The one thing you need to realize is, we listened to the Boneyard for over a year when Cl was the PD. I think the Boneyard has improved since CL left. But, it was pretty bad back then. You would here B-side repeats on a daily bases. When I came to Sirius it was like wow, three channels to get my metal fix. Then I find out that Octane plays some metal too.

Yeah I gave the boneyard and Xm a fair chance. Funny thing is I had little clue that Sirius had not just one rocker with Hair Nation but 3 others.

You can't say a hard rock/metal fan will be disappointed with Sirius. And since hr/metal fans are renowned for their tribal loyalty, dominating that field is a great move by Sirius.

I consider myself a huge hard rock/metal (mainly 70's-80's metal, not the newer stuff) fan, and I am personally disappointed with Sirius. Their channel breakdown is fantastic, but in my opinion, the execution of those channels is sub-par. If you like the biggest hits, you'll definitely be happy with Sirius. But if you're a deep fan of the genre and enjoy full albums or a wide selection of lesser hits, then I think there's a good chance you'll be disappointed with Sirius's offerings.

I still enjoy Hair nation. As I stated before, this station will continue to grow as sat radio grows!

Whats great about Hair Nation is sometimes they will add another song to the rotation, and that song will actually fit within HN format line-up.

Hand picked music that flows!!!

The party keeps rocken.
