On a different note, I sent an email to Tawn Mastery telling her that Sirius needs to get this Christmas CD:

Cool Christmas CD

It's called "We Wish You a Hairy Christmas". I thought that loyal Hair Nation listners, would love to hear these Christmas tunes. She said she forwarded the email to the correct people. Lets see if they play any of these songs.

Cool...I will wait with open ears. I have requested many songs in the past, that have never gotten played. Guess I have to hear to believe it.

Well I have a complant. The two months that I have had Hair Nation has been nothing but complusive listening addiction.

I had no idea that Hair Nation was the rocker that it is. I figured it would play a good tune every now and again, boy was I wrong. I dont even find a song that sucks, allowing me to flip to another channel.

Although the past week I have been listening to Bruce and the E Street Band on ch 10 The Bridge. Sirius just keeps on dishing out great programming and the E Street Channel is just another example of this. Great music.

Well as of December 1st my XM subscription will officially be_turned_off.

When calling XM two months back to cancel my subscription, I wanted to squeeze 2 free months from them, and I got it.

During this two month free period I gave my Roady2 to my parents who after listening to XM for two weeks gave it back and said, "Didn't recognize a lot of the music". I about shit when they said this, knowing they listen to the radio more than watching TV. Coming from them told me a lot about XM's deep programming and confirm to me why I also dumped XM. Got tired of all the "Side B" crap.

Then just last week I loaned it to a buddy who took his family on a 1,400 mile trip, vacation. Knowing he owns thousands of rock records/albums, been to hundreds of rock concerts, I figured he would enjoy XM because of their deeper "side B" cuts. Boy was I wrong. He gave it back saying he enjoyed it but the "flow" of music on the rock channels just did not jive. He said it was like having all his rock songs he owns and putting them on some type of supper SHUFFLE. He said the Boneyard was a bit strange with their rotation. He did mention his wife loving the disco channel and also his wife OK'd the purchase to Sirius as long as it had disco. So I gave him all the info needed to get his first Sirius radio and he hopes that by Christmas he will be hooked up.

So after two months, Hair Nation still sounds GREAT and STILL hearing songs for the first time.

I still cannot figure out the rotation on the boneyard myself. One person on Xmfan said he hates the hits That he loves the deep playlist. Then I questioned the boneyard playing the overplayed hit "I love rock n roll" by Joan jett and he was totally cool with that?????????????? I totally agree with you, Hair nation still kicks my ass! And I listen at times for 10 hours straight!

Yeah its lots of fun and good to have. 10 hours is a good average for me also. I just need to remind myself to eat and sleep between my listening sessions.

I havent really noticed much repetition on Hair Nation; although I have noticed they play Def Leppard alot which I dont really mind. When I think of the 80's- Poison usually comes to mind. When I listen to Hair nation- I feel like I am back in the 80's. I was starting to go crazy over the rap fad of the past 10 years.

For me, I was going crazy with to alternative music seen in the last 10 years. It was like every radio station on the earth stopped playing metal after 1993, THANKS MTV! With Sirius, the pain has been eased!
