I do agree that there could have been some changes made or even a channel removed between Starlight, Sirius Love and Moving EZ.

I personally wish Moving EZ would go back to the beautiful music type programming it originally had when it came online.

I am happy with this new channel and it appears it will get a preset.

I'm liking it a lot so far, much more than just folk. The thing about acoustic singer-songwriters is there are so many good ones that aren't signed to major labels, I hope Sirius throws some into the mix. I think I'd rather hear that than some of the lounge "chill" tracks I've heard so far.

Ugh. Sounds almost exactly like one of the local FM radio stations. We lost Folktown for this??? I finally gave up and went over to Disorder. At least they play folk music every now and again... and have DJs...

There is a lot of duplication with The Spectrum. Since Folktown was one of the top reasons I got Sirius, I'm not very happy with the replacement.
Likewise. I heard stuff this morning that sounded like Enya got into a car accident with some trance DJ and they recorded the sounds eminating from the smouldering wreckage...

Wow, could this be Live Dylan? So far what I've heard is pretty good. Probably 'on the first bank of presets' good.

I think this is a great channel so far. I'm not sure where it was billed as a replacement for Folktown though (I never saw Sirius advertise that, but could be wrong). I like that it doesn't have DJ's, gives it more of a coffehouse feel to it. It does a good job setting that "Starbucks" kind of vibe I think.

EDIT: just got my new channel guide and they DO bill Coffehouse as a replacment of sorts for Folktown. I agree that these channels have very little in common.

That is an excellent point that is a hole that they need to fill.

My sentiments exactly. They take anything that sounds different off and put on more of the same. The promise of satellite radio has been reduced down to "same as over the air but without commercials." Who would have though we'd already be seeing a reduction in the variety of music being offered by satellite? Fortunately there is an alternative to Sirius where folk music still exists.

I testing it early this morning and maybe hit a bad time, it was all jazz. I'll give it another shot later since it is THE channel of the new line up I was most excited about.
