I like it a lot. I agree with whoever said it's great Saturday morning music. I replaced The Spectrum with Coffeehouse on my presets.

to me it's like a mix between xm's "xm cafe" and the channel they used to have called "on the rocks".

I figured it was going to be more like "The Loft" on XM but it's still a baby....not even a day old. I'll stay tuned.

Actually, it sounds like XM's "Hear" with a more restricted playlist.

Default Happy Happy...

So far, I spent most of the morning listening to Coffeehouse, and really enjoyed it. Then, back to Alt Nation for a quick ride around town. Back to off, and have Spa73 on. VERY nice.

SO far, good job Sirius. You've listened to your customers as to what we felt was needed.

Of course there are others out there that miss a bunch of channels taken away, but I imagine some of them will get merged into the other 'like' channels.

Now, to kick back and enjoy the music...

Definitely not a good replacement for Folktown. They may play some folk, but it's all sanitized so there is no political or social content. In a way it's kind of "Disorder Lite". As for Disorder, they do play more folk, but they also play a lot of hard rock and modern rock, etc., most of which I can't stand.

Default Disappointed!

I was really hoping for a channel with a lot of acoustic rock & folk & my wife & I are a bit disappointed.

I am not a fan of jazz & this stream has too much jazz. A few hours ago Sarah Vaugn came on screeching (sorry jazz fans, just my opinion) and I haven't gone back to it again.

I will try it again, but if the mix stays the way it is I will take it off my presets.

I am a jazz fan, but I think a channel that's advertised as being accoustic singer-songwriters should be just that. When i want to get my fill of jazz, I know where to go.

It's yet another example of a channel trying to be everything to everybody, but for the time being it gets a preset.

I agree about the previous statements on the jazz.... That's not what any coffeehouse near me plays!

I'm going to have to join the fray and agree with the sentiment that there is too much jazz in the playlist right now. Hopefully they'll weed out the jazz and flesh out the acoustic playlist a bit more in the weeks and months to come.

This channel is just a rehash of a bunch of channels that Sirius already offers. The fifth or sixth song that this channel played was heared on Chill not more than five min before that. Nothing new here, and we lose an entire genre for it.

“Listening to its customers”? Who wanted this channel more than Folktown? Not the listeners of Folktown, that's for sure.

So I guess some Rock fans got what they wanted - Less options for people other than yourselves, right?

I'm holding off adding it as a preset but I like it.

I feel the same way too. I was disappointed when I listened and heard that it was very jazz influenced. I like jazz at times but I think coffee house is the wrong name for this stream, maybe Sunday Brunch or Jazz Brunch would be a better name. I'm sure that I will get used to it in time but I had envisioned something else for this station.
