Which was't uncommon in Louisiana prior to the 60's. In fact, it wasn't uncommon in a lot of states before the 60's.

I know a woman who's father was 50 and mother was 14 when she was born. Now THAT'S robbing the cradle!

Nineteen and thirteen just wasn't that big a deal back then.

Uhh.... WRONG! I distinctly recall Jerry Lee Lewis being black-balled for marrying a 13 year old girl, and being that she was his cousin. It's just disgusting, no matter what decade or century it happened. People didn't stand for it then and I would love to see the recent Harris or Zogby Poll numbers on opinions regarding marrying your adolescent cousin now.

>>I just said that. Glad you finally figured it out.

>>I see you're from the People's Politically Correct Republic of Kalifornia. You obviously have no understanding of the deep south prior to the 1960's.

Yes, Lewis's marriage did cause a furor OUTSIDE of the deep south, especially in palaces of political correctness like California etc.

But in the mid-50's in rural and small town Louisiana, a lot of people didn't think much of it. They would've been a lot more upset about a couple of California rumprangers shaving their body hair and marrying each other in San Francisco.

I'm not condoning what Lee did, but he was a product of his era and environment.

Now days you will GO to jail. At least here. It's criminal if you are over the age of 17 to have intercourse with someone under the age of 13. Other than that it's ok. Legally from a predator stance.

Uhhh... Right there, numb nutz. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a firm understanding of right and wrong.

I don't care what "era" you're a product of. You don't copulate, fornicate impregnate, or marry a minor (kin or not).

Now be sure and enlighten us with more of your whimsical wit, there, "Renaissance Man".

Let's leave the personal attacks out of the discussion or take it to PM.

Also let's get the discussion back on topic.
