Default hair nation too repetative????

seems like hairnation is playing pretty much the same songs by the same artists alot more than usual, they need to play some lesser known tracks by the usual hair bands, or what about some "live" tracks???? your thoughts???

As knac's-pirate would say:

"Hair nation repeats are like an In-n-out burger double double. You can eat one everyday and they still taste great!!"

Grab your lighter, Aqua Net Hair Spray, Spandex pants, and enjoy the elements of Hair Nation.

Now back to my morning hot cup of the Scorpions Wind of Change

Agreed. I have no problem with Hair Nation focusing on a group of "core" artists from that period of time. But those same artists have many great songs that Hair Nation never plays. I'd love it if these deeper cuts from the major bands of the era got added to the station!

Three weeks with Sirius now and Hair nation still kicks my ass!! I have listened to , Buzzsaw, 80's, Hard attack and the 70's. They all sound great but I still find myself back on Hair nation!

You can make requests to hear the deeper songs you like. All it takes is a phone call or email.

I've tried calling/emailing, and my requests don't get played. I actually had a pretty long email chain with Tawn and Kim regarding playing deeper cuts from the big bands a while back (even sent them lists of songs that most fans of these bands would know that never get played on Hair Nation), and it seemed clear that this wasn't really their programming philosophy. I still like the station and feel that all the music they play definitely belongs in the playlist, but I feel that it can be even better by digging deeper into the main artists' catalogs.

So far Dangerous Darren has played what I have requested.

That's cool... maybe I'll try emailing him directly!

Did you happen to request songs that are in the regular rotation, or did you request some that you normally don't hear on the station? I've mostly tried to request some deeper songs by the big Hair Nation bands, like Motley Crue's "On With the Show" and Whitesnake's "Guilty of Love," but I never heard them played.

Darren surprised me last weekend when I requested "Turn Of The Screw" by Dirty Looks. He played it. Then it was back to the usual heavy rotation of the predictable. Just keep e-mailing Tawn and Darren. They read it, they hear it, we're not going away. After all, we're the ones paying for this.

Great point, I too have direct email conversations with Kim Mulligan thanking her for a great Hair Nation and how I like the rotation. I love the style and specific format they play. They all agree and really enjoy our request.

Hair Nation is addictive and there are SO many bands I enjoy hearing that I have not heard in a long time. Hair Nation knows how to mix it up and play great new Classic Hair Band music.

I am up to 4 new family members now who have specifily subscribed to Sirius because of Hair Nation. Its a fun channel.

Hair Nation Rocks and going on my 3rd hour of listening...

Now back to Van Halen

Dangerous Darren has always been cool. I remember talking to him back when he worked at KNAC, and if he had it he would play it! Great guy!!
