Default Most underrated rock band ever?

In your opinion, what is the most underrated rock band ever?

I'd like to cast a vote for The Cult.

I'll go for a total dark horse with Zebra. These guys were an awesome band featuring excellent musicianship and songwriting, with a sound like "Rush meets Zeppelin." It's a shame that they were never really popular outside of their main NY and LA bases.

I'll second that nomination for The Cult. I saw them 6 times between 1987 and 1994. The first time was at The Long Beach Arena on August 18th, 1987. The opening band was Guns 'N Roses. It was an amazing show, to say the least. It was there that I got in touch with the right people at KNAC for my internship while in college.

I'll have to go with Little Feat. They made some of the best albums of the '70's, which of course were more or less ignored by the mainstream.

I'll throw a curveball and mention a personal favorite, the Smithereens. Some of the catchiest tunes you ever heard. Little Feat is also painfully underrated.

The Replacements, King's X, the Smithereens, Little Feat - all great choices. I saw the Smithereens in college and got to interview the band after the show for the campus radio station. They played a great show.

Here's one out of left field, actually Finland.

Wigwam

You can get some of their stuff here in the USA. I don't think Sirius or XM has ever played them...

I would say the cult. But another good choice would be Y&T .
