Default All-time favorite song?

What's your all-time favorite rock song? Feel free to list one and then an alternate. It's hard to pick just one, I know.

My #1 would probably be "Something" by the Beatles.

#2 might be "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix.

Man... this is a tough one. I'll go with 2 songs that always get me rockin':

#1: The Who - Water
#2: Led Zeppelin - Out on the Tiles

I have a tie for number one, "Bigmouth Strikes Again" by the Smiths and "Steppin' out" by Joe Jackson.

Default All Time Favorite Song

Most of my favorite songs seems to have long running times: 7 minutes or more.

It's hard for me to even narrow it down to five.

Rock music as a whole is such an enormous entity, consisting of so many genres and sub-genres, that I can't honestly say I have one favorite song above all others.

I'll have to give it some thought and post later.

#1: Another Brick on the Wall by Pink Floyd.

But only when they play Another Brick on the Wall part 1, The Happiest Days, and then Another Brick on the Wall part 2. That's the only way to truly enjoy it. Just skipping right to part 2, kind of leaves an empty feeling in me.

Yikes, well here goes:

Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
Voodoo Child (Slight Return) - Jimi Hendrix (SRV's version is good too)

The rest of the top 5.

Sympathy for the Devil - The Rolling Stones
Superstition - Stevie Wonder
Couldn't Stand the Weather - Stevie Ray Vaughn

And already I'm unhappy with that list, throw in "The Weight" by the Band, "Rockin' in the Free World" by Neil Young, "Hell in a Bucket" by the Dead, "Fortunate Son" by CCR and way more where those came from.

I hear you.

The two songs I posted have at times raised the hair on the back of my neck with their guitar work. George really strikes some poignant notes during his solos on "Something" and Jimi makes his guitar wail so sadly on Little Wing...there are 100 other songs I could say I like as well, but these two have just struck chords with my brain.

This is a pretty hard choice for me, I don't have a all-time favorite song, but if I would have to say, what is my favorite songs they are:

Kid Rock "American Bad Ass"

Nickelback "Figure You Out"

some Bon Jovi songs!

NICE!

I can't even begin to try to narrow it down to two.
