On his website, he mentioned signing on to do a new weekly show on sat radio. So even if he comes to Sirius, it won't be as a PD for Hair Nation. Hey, I'd be happy to take the depth of his Saturday Night Rocks show once a week

Sounded like he picked Sirius to me too. Things ended badly with XM the last time around, and those comments on his site about going with the service that really wanted him sounded like a little jab at XM to me.

I thought I remembered reading about how XM fucked him over. It would only make sense for him to come to Sirius.

I've heard nothing but great things about him. The biggest downfall to Hair Nation that I see, is that they don't play any new tunes by the old metal bands - or new metal bands. From what I hear, Eddie would probably fix that short coming and then maybe we'll see a revival of metal's glory days.

I know... dare to dream.

Eddie's weekly show on XM was fantastic. He's an encyclopedia of rock knowledge, and he played some hits, new tracks, and lots of deep stuff from hard rock, hair metal, and metal bands. He also had guests on pretty frequently and did very good interviews.

If you want to get a feel for his playlists, check out his website, which shows the playlists from his current terrestrial radio show.

I'm hoping he makes his was over to Sirius. His programming is great and he brings in legendary talent for the interviews. He would definately be a good sign for Hair Nation!

I looked at a few of the most recent playlists and they look great (maybe a little heavy on Skid Row) but it would be great if Sirius would program like this.

Having an Eddie show would be cool. I dont see him applying any format change with HN because the current popularity of that channel.

What I can see happening is a small change with Sirius' Rock Channel line-up. Sirius could add another Rock Channel or do away with one that Eddie runs. (not wanting to discuss which channel to dump though-

Having a channel that mixes a HN and Buzzsaw mix along with some deeper tunes PLUS the new tunes from those late Hair Band artist. That would kick some ass...

So, does anyone know when Eddie will announce what company he signed with? He mentioned "this coming week" in his blog on the 7th.

I think he'd make a great addition to Sirius. Not so much for the playlists (although they do look good), but more so for the guests and interviews he gets.

I was just listening to Eddie's show on knac.com.
Now he's saying it will be announced "sometime this week."

My guess is it's Sirius. Since he had a previous deal with XM, I don't think he would be so secretive about which service he was going with if it was the same one as before....it would just be renewing a contract.
