Default New Music by Old Hair Bands

Is there a station that plays new music by these reunited hair bands? I'd like to hear the post-year 2000 stuff that bands like Saxon, Dokken, Europe, etc. have and/or are currently doing, but they don't play the new stuff on Hair Nation. Thanks!

Same for 80's "new wave" bands, where their hits are played to death on first wave while their newer offerings aren't played anywhere on Sirius (unless a barely noticeable dance remix on area 33) -- new order, depeche mode, etc.

Maybe a show on each of these stations to provide new(er) releases from 80s bands (hair, new wave). Would aid in providing a bit of depth to these stations.

They need to. It's kind of a slap in the face to the bands that are still doing it to be ignored just because of the year it came out. Especially when a lot of the material is good. Boneyard on XM has a show, that just debuted today, actually. They played some new Quiet Riot, Maiden, Skid Row, Winger, Steelheart, and some other stuff. Hair Nation should be playing some of this stuff.

I agree that this is something that is needed on Sirius... as I was just listening to Live Too Young to Fall in Love on Boneyard...

This is one of my main gripes with Hair Nation even back to the "Big Rock" days when I first signed up. It is like a tease when they start talking about band X having a new album out but we ain't gonna play it! Now here is Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue for the gazillionth time...

I guess I am "old school" because I still like to buy CDs, but I still buy the latest CDs from bands like Queensryche, Winger, and King's X that I enjoyed in the 80s.

Maybe Elvis could come out with a few newer hits for his Sirius channel!!

Sorry but HN is the nostalgic channel for 80's rock band music. There are plenty of other channels that Sirius already has, that is fit for these newer tunes from past 80's bands...

And yes I agree, these bands do have some kick ass new music I would like to hear, just not on HN.

I can see your point, but the problem is that the other channels do not play the newer music from these bands, except for Ozzy.

I think The Spectrum does a fantastic job with bringing new music to the listening audience with some some great "past" artist like JJ Cale, Eric Clapton, and soon John Mellencamp. Well done channel, with The Spectrum.

Hair Nation has dabbled with this in the past.
They played cuts from that last Gene Simmons album back when I first subscribed in 2004 and played that crappy ballad from the last Motley Crue release. Those are the only examples I can think of.
I wouldn't mind a little more, though.
I like what I heard off of that last Judas Priest CD but only heard it on Hard Attack.
And there's ALWAYS room for more Dio, if you ask me...
