I will say this is not their best album. My favorite is still In Absentia. I think that PTree is becoming more and more prog metal with each album.

If you want something new to help tide you over until the next album comes out in a couple years check out the Steve Jansen & Richard Barbieri - Stone To Flesh album, produced by Steven Wilson (if I recall correctly, he even plays on the album). Very much like old Ptree, but not quite? A pleasant difference.

I'd also like to make a note that Carl Groves, the lead singer for Salem Hill also doubles as a fill-in lead singer for Glass Hammer.

Turnoff, buy MMM directly from their website: www.salemhill.com if you can.

In Absentia blew me away. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite CDs.

Based on your track record... I'll check out Steve Jansen & Richard Barbieri - Stone To Flesh.

I think somebody has been listening in on us or our emails caught their eyes.

Here's my thinking, there was 90s Alt week on Alt Nation, right?

Then wasn't there an all Punk week on some other station?

We got channels based on those shortly afterwards?

I am giddy with anticipation.

I've sent my email thanking them whole-heartedly for the prog week, pleading for an all prog channel. YOU should do the same!

Maybe more aggressive for I don't think that can be classified as metal.

And talking about metal, last Sunday I had the HONOR to attend to my 1st Symphony X concert. I actually was going to travel to the States for a concert, but I was very lucky to see them right here in my island, PR.
What can I say, I don't have words to describe the band efforts, it was a hot humid night, and the concert was outdoors. Russel Allen voice was outstanding, Michael Romeo flawless just to name a few. They even played the almost 25 minute song The Odyssey to end the show. I filled up a 1Gb SD card with my camera.
About the people there, I just have to say that they didn't expected the great intereaction of the public with the band. All of us there knew what we were going to see, a great band. Also they played 3 new songs of his upcomming album due June 26. I told to my 15 year old son, I can die in peace now.

We need airtime for our beloved genre, Sirius is the best option. Progressive rock forever!

Tom

Been listening to this channel on and off this week. I like it quite a bit more this way than it was previously. Heard King Crimson - I Talk to the Wind this afternoon...last time I heard it was probably 25-30 years ago. Personally I hope they keep "The Vault" like this for a while.

Kids... your vote counts. If you really want this to happen, you MUST contact Sirius directly. You CANNOT assume they will read this forum. This is a forum for fans. There is no "official" connection to Sirius. So get your butt over to www.sirius.com, and click on "What's on Sirius:. From there click on "Music" and then "Rock". Once on that page, go to "the Vault"

OK, OK... let's make this easy for all or you... go to

http://www.sirius.com/servlet/Conten...=1104779639597

Click on "Send us Email", over on the right. Then let "The Vault" know how much you enjoyed "Progressions Week" and that they should consider an "all-prog" channel.

OK... go on now... do it... make your mark... let Sirius know what YOU want!!!!!!!!

Excellent point "turnoff." I did just what you suggested. Good idea.

BTW, to those naysayers who think that Sirius doesn't read forums, I do know that in a closely related industry, many industry insiders in fact read forums such as this, TiVoCommunity, etc. They lurk and respect many of the posts. They just don't "go public" since many times their employers don't allow them too. Here's hoping that Sirius programmers and Execs see this thread topic!

With any luck, there have been many of us emailing Sirius this past week. It was a great week of music. Sorry if my earlier post sounded a bit testy. But Progressions Week had just ended and I was already getting cranky going through withdrawal.

Like I said in the other post, this is a great idea, and my email was sent. A little more "Selling England By The Pound", and of course, "In The Court of The King Crimson", and I will be happy! Throw in some "Fear of a Blank Planet", "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence", and hell... ANYTHING else! (All were records, not artists, just so I don't look like a complete fool!)
