I respectfully agree to disagree.

I'm for an all Van Beethoven channel. You know, all Camper Van Beethoven, with a little Cracker thrown in from time to time. Who's with me?

A classic Van Halen channel would be cool.

I can definitely claim to have been a huge Van Halen fan:

The first vinyl album I ever bought was Women and Children First in 1980 (at age 14).

The first live concert I ever saw was Van Halen (w/ DLR) in 1982. I later saw the Van Hagar version three times.

The first pre-recorded cassette I ever bought was 1984.

The first CD I ever bought was 5150 (though by this time it was mostly out of tradition).

The first song downloaded onto my iPod was "Why Can't This Be Love" (also out of tradition).

As big of a fan that I was, I say there's no way they deserve their own channel. There just isn't enough material. If Sirius ever has one channel that rotates artists every week, I say they can have one week. But that's about it.

Then let's have dedicated channels for ZZ Top; Rush; Pink Floyd; Styx; AC/DC; The Allman Brothers: Lynyrd Skynyrd etc etc etc. All excellent bands but not worthy to dedicate a solid channel to.

Unlike those bands Van Halen changed the sound of Rock And Roll with Eddie's influental guitar playing.

Come the hell on dude, you actually think Eddie Van Halen was the only influential guitarist of rock and roll? Man you are in a dream world. The guitarist of today was shitting Similac when the greats were playing and they were influenced by blues guitar and such.

I think we get it, you are a VH fan and we do like VH but not enough to have Sirius to have dedicated channel for them.

There could be more than just 6 albums to be played on a VHChannel!
Bootlegs
Demos
B-Sides

And thats not the tip of the Iceberg

Of course this can be done for any band really.

No, Hair Nation is a 24/7 channel based on 6 bands, not 6 albums.

When I was in school we used to argue over who was better: Eddie Van Halen or Ace or Angus etc. Lol... Hit Parader was the shit etc. I loved Van Halen. I am like others here. Van Halen was our life but so was AC/DC and Kiss etc. I HATED it when they split but I loved 5150. I listened to that as much as 1984. But come on are we going to say Sammy wasn't cool and then say David in a jumpsuit singing California Girls looking like a clown was cool? No man... by that time Shout at the Devil by Motley Crue was fucking cool! Ozzie hanging midgets on stage was cool.
