I've asked about an All Beatles Channel. I told them how most channels on FM have Beatles Tributes, and even Ch 14 has a lame ass tribute of only 4 songs.....

I got an email stating that they cant legally do it b/c of copyrights, BUT Ch 14 has a Beatles 4-some at 9am.

I don't think they even read the emails they get.

i agree with 'no more 1 artist channels'. i never listen to any channels that only play one artist.

i think a good idea would be to have a channel that plays a different artist each day, for the whole day. just make sure you have enough songs to not play any of them more than 2x in 24 hours (a 12 hour setlist).

example:
sunday - all led zeppelin
monday - all van halen
tuesday - all elvis
wednesday - all the cure
thursday - all rolling stones
friday - all bon jovi
saturday - all the who
the following sunday - all ac/dc
etc. etc. etc.

i would check in each day and see which artist is the 'artist of the day'. and if i liked them, i would listen as much as i could during that day.

One day would not be enough; I think it would have to be the artist of the week or artist of the month. It would be tough to come up with 365 different artists each year that are worthy of a day. But it would be easier to find 52 or 12 artists.
