S&M - Metallica.

I don't really care for live albums that much.

Metallica- S and M (Amazing.)
Alice In Chains- Unplugged (WARNING: Don't listen to it while driving, it will put you to sleep.)
Porcupine Tree - Warszawa Live (I can't believe someone else even has this album.)
Pink Floyd- Pulse (I freeking love putting this on at the house and "relaxing.")
Pearl Jam- #34 Memphis (Pearl Jam almost shouldn't count because they put out so many live albums but I'm listing this one because it features an Elvis cover, Footsteps, and all my other favorite Pearl Jam songs, and I was at the show. )

Love 'em or hate 'em KISS was a very influential band. Alive I is a kick ass album, and one of the best live albums of all-time. The new dvd KISSology shows some awesome concert footage from the first 3-4 years, man they were so much cooler in the early days.

Isn't KISS - ALIVE! the album that wasn't really recorded live? Seems like I remember Paul Stanley 'fessing up to this, along with the fact that Ace Frehley didn't play near the guitar work he was given credit for...

I do beleive KISS Alive has a lot of overdubs on it to make it sound more listenable, however there are many "live" albums that have this done to them

Foo Fighters - Skin and Bones, up there with the unplugged Nirvana stuff. Nice mix to keep the audience quiet (not singing along) when it counts.

Dave Matthews central park concert.

ABBEY ROAD??? That's a STUDIO album "Let It Be", was recorded on the roof top (if you recall, during Don't Let Me Down, John forgot the words during the 1st line of a verse, and kinda just mubled them)

My List Includes...

1. Frampton Comes Alive - Peter Frampton
2. AC/DC Live - AC/DC
3. The Last Waltz - The Band
4. Tribute to George - Various Artists
5. S & M - Metalica

--thats just a few--

A few people have already mentioned Nirvana Unplugged.
If you don't have it - run, don't walk, to the store and pick up this masterpiece.
Not only is it one of the best live recordings ever, it's one of the best recordings ever, period.

oh and...

Scorpions - World Wide Live

Agree with Jaymez. The Joe Cocker album isn't bad though.
