Hard to argue with anyone on that list, but in 5 years, you will be able to add Warren Haynes to the discussion. If you haven't seen him play, you should.

Now that the list is getting so deep, there's some southern rock guitarists who deserve some mention: Allen Collins (Lynyrd Skynyrd/Rossington Collins) Hughie Thomasson (Outlaws/Skynyrd); and a Texas blues/rock guy named Billy Gibbons as well (for the pre-Eliminator stuff).

I just heard some stuff from Gary Moore... he belongs on the list (and his early-mid '80s stuff should be played on Buzzsaw).

A guitarist who had great chops and feel was Vito Bratta of White Lion. His rhythm playing is great and his leads are amazing.
