Default The Best Guitarists of all time

Who is your choice for the best rock guitar player of all time?

However you define "best" is your decision.

Please vote "other" if your choice is not listed. In fact, "other" should do great in this poll, as there have been so many great guitarists and I'm allowed only 10 poll options.

(I can't believe we have never had this thread before. My only hesitation in starting this thread, is that I will get fussed for not including everyone's favorites.)

Definitely SRV, but here's your first "fuss" ... my second choice would Randy Bachman.

It all depends on my mood.

SRV and Clapton have done wonders to get me laid.
Zakk Wylde and Dime are great for banging my head like it's 1985.
Hammett's good for those milder moments.

Asking me which guitarist I like best is like asking which BJ I enjoyed the most. They're ALL great! Mark me down for "other".

Other:

Steve Howe, Steven Wilson, and/or Kevin Gilbert (though he's not always a guitarist).

I'm not sure going with the "best" guitarist of all time is the way to go. Maybe there should be one for most influential. Best is a hard thing to live up to.
