Default S50 updates details

Does anyone know what the details are for this "very important" update and when Sirius is going to make the changes live that makes it necessary?

Default Should I Update?

I would like to know if there is a deadline before you must update, and what happens if you don't, from other posts it seem you Could lose all your saved content; well I have over 400 songs and 10 shows some going back to 2005 ...I damm sure don't want to lose them, I've yet to update and evetything is fine; why Can't sirius release an update that dose'nt harm the content on the device, they must know theirs Tens of Thousand S-50 owners who after years of problems just want a Problem/update free unit...that still gets support...for anyone who has done the update please give details...

Default Update today

Well after 3 phone calls for issues in and out of signal since Friday the 11th. Sirius finally told me that the live updates are happening as we speak. That the system upgrades that started around 2 pm yester will be complete by 5 pm today Saturday the 12th

Oh and to answer the other question. I updated and did not lose any of my songs or shows

my connectivity has really gone downhill since yesterday from two antennas on my boat (in the Gulf) that usually have peak strength. I suspect the upgrade I did not apply may have something to do with this.

Personally, I will hold out for the update until they state specifically what the purpose of it is.
