Default Car dock <---> home dock bug?

Does anyone else experience this?

I power down the S50 from the car dock(holding the power button) and take it in to work. When I put the S50 in the home dock it doesn't turn on. You can push the power button and it still doesn't turn on. In order to get it to work I have to unseat the S50 and then reseat it in the dock. After this everything is fine.

The reverse is also true going from the home dock to the car dock. I have been experiencing this every day.

Other than this I haven't experience any problems with my S50.

1) you actually got a home dock (though i'm not sure anymore that is really a blessing)

2) if that's the only problem you are having then you should be happy.

Yeah, I ordered mine REALLY early from Crutchfield. I haven't experience any problems with the functioning of the dock. I've read others having problems with the USB port. I could care less about the USB port just because I can always use the USB cable the unit came with.

If I talk about the problem now then perhaps it can be fixed by the time everyone else gets a home dock.

Are you part of the non-productive comments going on with the S50? I don't get why you feel like you had to respond to my initial post.

I get the same thing from Home dock. I too, got mine early from Crutchfield. It doesn't seem to snap in the dock as well as it did in the beginning. Just make sure that when you slide it in the Home dock ,not to snap off the pins.

I don't have a problem with getting it in the dock. The S50 is clearly seated as well the first time as the second time.

To me this is clearly a firmware type problem with the S50. I would like to see this fixed.

Just got off the phone with the president of satellite radio! GOOD NEWS!!!!

When they release the 1.0385 firmware update they are going to fix all docking station problems, all user errors, AND upgrade the sound of the executive dock to 5.1!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!
Also you won't even need an antenna (kinda like the newer cellphones) with the s50 when Firmware v 2.0001 is released!!!

More to come!!!!!

And why does this belong here? I love all of the sarcasm that is starting to take over the S50 section. Not to mention that by your version number we would be going in reverse.

As for answering the initial question. I too have a home dock and I have experienced the same problem as you many times. I'm sorry I don't have a fix for you but my suggestion is do not power off the system when it is in the car dock. Just turn off your car and let it go into "sleep mode". Then, when you put it in your home dock you SHOULD not have any problems. This fixed it for me (I guess you can't really call it a fix as much as a tip).

yeah, well I know the friend of Howard K Stern and they told me that Firmware 1.992834 is the new update to take place and it WILL enhance your listening experience TREMENDOUSLY! If you are having marital problems, constipation, erectile dysfunction it will take care of ALL those problems.

May not fix the antenna issuses but it will find you a way to make the $13/monthly payments for you!

Good suggestion but I have constant power to my lighter socket. I'd have to do a reach around, pull it out, and then put it back in.

We still talking about the S50? Ewe...
