Default HELP!! Signal Strength w/o S50

I ran into a problem while updating my S50. Just before updating I was having an issue where it would read Aquiring Signal. Nothing changed from any prior day. It just wouldn't pick up a signal. I started the update process and get hung at the last update because of lack of signal to the unit. I rechecked all the connections and they seem fine.

Is there any way to measure the signal strength of just the antennae(sp?) using a multimeter? I need to troubleshoot the signal issue in order to complete the update. When docked the S50 displays Updating 0% and goes nowhere.

Please Help!!!

Can you reload V1.2 of firmware then use S50 Antenna tuning? If you need 1.2 send me an email.

Mike

I had the same problem before updating. I could not get a signal out of a sudden. The antenna looked fine. I called crutchfield and they sent me a replacement antenna and that fixed the problem but I don't know why the antenna all of a sudden died.
