Default Bought the executive.Nice for the price but

is there any alternative solution to getting stronger signal strength? Maybe a stronger antenna? I'd like to have something stronger that I would be able to keep "inside" the house.

You could use one of the DEI Micro antennas that come with the car kit. I have found the reception on that to be awesome...way better than the home antenna. I keep it indoors, maybe 10 feet to the closest window....I do however live in an urban area and i'm picking up the terrestrial repeater signal, not satellite signal, so take my advice with a grain of salt if you have to pick up satellite signal.

I think the newer home antenna that came with the S50 kit and executive dock is crap! Definitely doesn't get as good a signal as the one that came with my Starmate (the first one, not the Replay). I also wonder if for some reason the Executive dock has some signal issues inherent to its design since I always seem to have issue with it in my office but when I use my PNP3 with same antenna it consistently gets an extra bar.

Default So far so good

I got a setup in my basement. Call it my panic room. 2 kids (2 and 3 years old). I have a bar set up, etc. so I frequently head down stairs to down a few beers and listen to the radio. WOrks fine. I stretched the atenna through the basement window and it currently sits on top of my cable/ electricity box outside my house. No frequency problems.

I have had no problem whatsoever with this setup.

The air conditioner "metal case" acts as a great antenna booster and sticks out from the side of the house just far enough to get a good view of the NW sky.

The car setup gives me Sirius throughout the house (livingroom, bathroom, basement, garage ect...)

I have great reception 100% of the time. Great recordings and I do a hot swap with my car (second S50).

I highly recommend the "dot antenna". Lots of wire for routing too.

Default That's one bad ass looking kenwood!

I love it. Nothing like the old days when receivers ruled.
