Angry 10 days - NO REPLACEMENT

Well it's been 10 days and the replacement I was promised has not arrived. Contacted warranty support (3rd time) and was told they still did not have a tracking number, spoke with a supervisor who advised me that she would have the unit sent 2nd day air and I should have it by Wednesday(doubtful).
WARNING: Don't fall for the email gimmick! They will tell you to contact them via email in order to save the wait time on the phone and make it sound like they are doing you a big favor, but they never answer your Email.

Default This is such a mess!!

I just got off the phone with a Sirius operator. It has been since November 3 when I put in my new claim and have been waiting for shipment of my s50. According to this gal, my claim was processed on November 4 and then notes on my file have shifted my account into backorder status. Therefore, no unit has shipped and, of course, no tracking number has been issued.

Had I not called, this would never have been updated properly. The operator assured me that the s50 is no longer backordered and this should not have happened. Now, my name has been added to a list on the supervisor's desk for immediate shipping and I should expect my unit in about a week.

What a ridiculous runaround. I don't know how this company can survive with such terrible customer service. No one can give me a straight answer. This operator gave me her e-mail address, which I will use to confirm later this week that my unit has been shipped and get my tracking #. (As though she is going to respond). She also gave me her extension which is basically useless since all calls go through that same toll free nember. I don't know how much longer I can be pleasant and patient while being lied to.

You are HIGH if you think under 2 weeks is a long time. Once again, some have been waiting for MONTHS.

Now, if you ment LAST NOVEMBER then I'd say yes, be mad.

"What a ridiculous runaround. I don't know how this company can survive with such terrible customer service."

I can't wait to see you at day 75 and no Stern. Ka boom.

Default Don't get me wrong . . .

I know that I am very lucky that my s50 didn't die until October and I give all you lifers a lot of credit for sticking with Sirius through this process. I was simply commenting on how the internal process of this company is a mess and the customer service is horrifying.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't part of the S50 availability problem related to the FM modulator not being in compliance with the FCC? The unit was out of production for some time while that was resolved.

Not making excuses for SIRI. If that is the case, they should tell people rather than continually promise 2 weeks. But it may explain the unavailability.

The woman I spoke with today claims that they are now changing over to a different shipper and it seems that now that is slowing things down. It's all very frustrating and I've only been doing this for a few weeks.

Oh god the stories they make up. TRUST ME, I did tech support...we just made it up as we went cause we were ranked on phone calls/call time and that's all that mattered.

I should clarify the situation, I have been waiting since August! I was told on November 2nd that my replacement unit would be here within 7 to 10 days.

Oh dear god. That's not good...but expected as August is when the S hit the F in terms of FCC and product replacements. They took away all the replacements. Now, after waiting all this time you'll FINALLY get one only to find out the FM reception is GARBAGE.

I'm PRAYING mine doesn't die anytime soon. PRAYING...but still get the PSRAM ERROR every once in a while...grrrrrrrr.

Default 10 days?!?

I waited 6 months. Then I called them on Monday and they said "we overnighted it today, so you should have it by next Monday"...does that make any sense? Needless to say, I got it today (Monday, 7 days later)

I just got my S50 today, 11/28 (on the 10th day)! I thought I was going to have to call and complain, but the UPS guy showed up this afternoon with the package.

FYI....I never got a phone call or email form customer support once the claim (the second one) was filed (on 11/13). I just gave my CC# and they said it would ship out in 2 days and be there in 7-10 days after that. However, I would not have gone thru CS if Fry's Electronics had any S50's or Stilettos in stock. I bought a 2 year replacement warranty from them last December when I bought my S50, and neither store in my area has had anything in stock for months. They offered to replace it with one of the other cheaper radios, but I'd loose out on that deal. I hate Fry's!! In the future, buy all your Sirius crap from BB or CC!!

Finally, I thought I was only going to replace the S50 and send the rest back, but the knob on the new car dock works much better than my first one. Also, I think I'll swap out the remote as I have warn off the ink on many of the buttons. : )

To you guys still waiting.......I wish you all the best of luck. I have read all of the horror stories on this board and I know your pain.

Good luck!!
