Post buttons going bad

I have been a long time lover of the S50. Yeah I know the problems, but I have figured out work arounds for most of them. What I have noticed lately is that my volume up button and my power button on the media player are starting to loose connection and not work. Anyone else have this problem. I am not worried because I have an extended warranty from Best Buy, but I would end up getting the S100 and there are things on the S50 I like better. Any ideas or do I just have to bite the bullet and wait until it dies?

I had this problem a while back. My volume down button became very unresponsive over a period of time. One day it just quit working. As a matter of fact, when I pushed the volume down it just turned the volume up. Maxed volume with no way to turn it down, bad news. I ended up sending it back for a replacement. I've read about a couple others on these boards having the same issue. I guess software is not the only problem with the s50... So far so good on unit two though.

Don't get me wrong, I like my s50 and all of it's features. But if I were able to, I'd switch it for the s100. The only downer would be having to get a new car and home dock.

It seems that the buttons and especially the Dog Wheel are very fragile. It's best to use the remote as it can be easily replaced.

Thanks DUFFMAN (Ohhh Yeahhh) Me_Rubin, I would use the remote, but I use it at the gym everyday as a media player. looks like it is going to be a slow and painful death. not to mention the 2 car docks and home dock I have. Ughh
