It was a little tricky but it was done online.

And when it comes I am going to try and get the $100 rebate, it says that it is still eligible for it.

I'm just as confused as you, JimmyJam. Here is what my computer screen is showing, after going thru AAA's website at: ww2.aaa.com. I chose the the S50 radio/car kit option w/ the Howard Stern keychain.

SIRIUS S50 Radio, Car Kit, and Howard Stern Key Chain
Store Item #1998409

Price: $179.99
Discount (*Terms) -$36.00 (AAA member discount)
Rebate: (*Terms) -$100.00
Your Price: $43.99

Now my question is about this "rebate". When i click on the $100 Rebate (Terms) line, it explains that this is a "mail-in rebate", not an instant discount. Am i missing something??? If someone can tell me how this becomes an "instant discount", it would greatly help...

Default Here is the trick-

1. You can not go through any websites, you have to go sirius.com direct.

2. Click on the Howard Key chain offer.

3. Click on the S50

4. ADD TO CART

5. continue check out

6. use discount code "buffett" for extra 15% off!

7. enter shipping and continue.

8. Here is the trick! When you get to the "shopping cart summary" the price at this point should have changed to $167.57

9. Change the shipping method to UPS 2 day, and watch what happens to the price!

10. Price should now say $79.32 with 2 day shipping

11. Not sure if Sirius even knows about this, looks like a glitch.

BADA-BING you have yourself one hell of deal that I have yet to see beat, better get while you can.

Did you actually purchase it at that price? I've tried a zillion ways and I can get it to give me a final price that shows AFTER REBATE.

Here is what mine shows with the different shipping options...

1) ...choosing UPS Ground Shipping ($5.13 USD)
Subtotal: $ 179.99 (subtotal)
Shipping: $ 5.13 (this is the Ground Shipping price)
Tax: $ 12.60 (tax)
Total Discounts: $ -62.73 (discounts include AAA membership and using the BUFFETT discount code)
Total: $ 134.99 (this is total WITHOUT rebate)

2) ...choosing UPS 2 day shipping ($11.82 UBD)
Subtotal: $ 179.99 (subtotal)
Shipping: $ 11.82 (2 day UPS shipping)
Tax: $ 12.60 (tax)
Total Discounts: $ -57.60 (discounts include AAA membership and using the BUFFETT discount code)
Total: $ 146.81 (this is total WITHOUT rebate)

3) ...choosing Next Day Shipping ($35.12 USD)
Subtotal: $ 179.99 (subtotal)
Shipping: $ 35.12 (shipping for Next Day delivery)
Tax: $ 12.60 (tax)
Total Discounts: $ -57.60 (discounts include AAA membership and using the BUFFETT discount code)
Total: $ 170.11 (this is total WITHOUT rebate)

Now the cheapest i can get Sirius to charge my debit card is $134.99. Sure, you get a $100 mail-in rebate, but your debit/credit card will still be charged $134.99. You will have to wait for months for this mail-in rebate to come to you.

With the $100 mail-in rebate, i can still get the S50 for $34.99. That's a damn good deal! ...BUT my debit card would still be charged $134.99. I'm going to wait until payday to pick one up. Besides, if this cheaper price is because of a "glitch", the last thing i want to do is rip off Sirius.

THANK YOU! That was the trick. Now the decision: 79 with instant rebate or 40 something and wait for the rebate. I think a bird in the hand...

Just tried to place an order - showed the discount at first, but then when I went to check out, it's back up to 190 bucks?? WTF?

****EDIT**** Changed to 2 day shipping, got the $100 instant discount - $96.61 to my door in 2 days, can't argue with that....

Default Count me in!

I just finished ordering mine with the instant rebate...two-day shipping total came to $78.55, and that is because of the 15% BUFFETT code...awesome deal, and it beats waiting months and months for the $100 check from Sirius, which is what would happen if I had bought this at a local BB or CC...

Weird thing happened while ordering, though...it showed me the $78.55 total price, I then confirmed the order. After waiting for the order process for about 10 minutes, the web page just timed out and was blank. Checked my email, I had the order confirmation, but it had the total as $105.56. In other words, it didn't give me the 15% discount.

Called Sirius, and the nice lady looked everything up, then credited $28 to my account to make up for the difference...so everything worked out fine...thanks to all in this forum for the little tip on the instant savings and extra discount!

This will be perfect for my second sub...my repeater signal is really awful where I live and at my office, which is why I returned my Stiletto 100 about a month ago. I could rarely get a live signal, the 32kbps WiFi stream sounds like crap, and I couldn't "Love" recorded songs, which is one of the features I am most looking forward to. I use sat radio for music 95% of the time, so the uncrippled Love feature will be great...plus I have $250 more in my pocket now because of the difference between the SL100 and the S50

Anyone on the fence should probably order soon before this offer is gone...
