Unhappy s50 won't power up

I've been having ZERO problems, and today, like any other day, I removed it from the home dock...it was on, and now it won't power up. I've tried hooking it back to the home kit...nothing. Car kit...nothing. Computer...nothing.

So it is still under warranty (barely). My question is...how will the replacement s50 be and what can I do differently to avoid this problem. Help!

Is the lock button on? There should be no blue showing on the top left button of the actual s50 unit.

Nope. There is no blue showing...just black. I do pull my s50 off the home dock kit while the s50 is on...someone at sirius support says I should turn it off and leave it on for 10 seconds. But honestly, I've been following the same routine ever since I've had it, and I've never had an issue like this.

Now I'm just worried about the quality of the replacement s50 (while mourning the loss of my songs)

back to the blue and black issue. on my s50, the colors are dark blue for locked and silver (or whatever color the case is) for unlocked. In other words, if I have something resembling black (maybe dark blue) showing, the unit is locked. Whatever the case with your device, the switch should be all the way down for the keys to be unlocked. If you have any color showing, the keys may be locked.

I did pull out the battery...nothing. Thanks for the link to the thread. I was hopeful, but even some of the suggestions in that thread could not revive my dead S50.

Such a bummer. Loved my song list. Thanks though for your help. I know I'll be back again with questions...hopefully not for another year.

Worst case, pull the battery for a couple days and try again. You have nothing to lose at this point. Good luck.

I assume you are suggesting pulling it out for a while and putting it back into the unit, correct? If so, yes.

Also, unplug the home dock power from the wall, dock S50 and then plug homedock AC plug back into the wall. Try the same thing without battery in the S50.
