Default Need Advice on S50 Please

Looking to buy the S50 and am wondering if it automatically finds music that you like? What features does it lack that the other sirius radios have? They all list different features and not complete features.

Can anyone that owns it please tell me what it lacks in comparison?

Does it not find sports games? Does it not auto find music etc?

Default S50 Rules

Hey Camry!

I've had an S50 for about a year, and I recently added a Stiletto. The Stiletto is a cool device, but in my opinion the S50 is a better piece of equipment. It notices what music channels you like, and will record blocks of songs for you. The Stiletto does the same thing, but the S50 boasts one huge advantage: the ability to save individual songs from the recorded blocks. As you go through the recorded material, when you come across a song you like, you jusy hit the heart button & it's saved. It's a GREAT feature, and one the Stiletto doesn't have. Given the choice between the two, I'd honestly take the S50 any day. But get the home dock!

There are a lot of S50's on sale for real cheap and on ebay, and I might pick one up for that feature of recording songs in a block alone... Live anywhere radio would be great, but I would probably not use it like I think I would anyway. I'm holding off for a few more months to decide anyway.

Post Ground Isolating Loop

Since your ID is "07Camry," I should warn you that if you hook the car kit up to the AUX jack on the car, you'll want to get a group isolating loop from Radio Shack. Otherwise, you'll hear a high pitched engine whine that will drive you nuts. It's no big deal, about $ 25 from Radio Shack. Search these forums for "Engine Whine" and you'll find a link to Radio Shack's catalog.

I have an 07 Camry, and I had it mounted where there's a cutout so you can run the wires into the center console where the AUX input and power jack are. The group isolating loops fits right in the console. Works fine, lasts a long time.

I love my S50 and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. In fact, pricing is so good for them now with the rebates, I'm tempted to buy another one. Under $ 100 for a 1Gig MP3 player is not bad! Just do it.
