Default Fm antenna

I easily removed the fm out plug on my new S50, but cannot seem to find the small antenna that some folks said I could put in its place. It seems to work much better in the car without the plug. Did my radio come with this? If not is it necessary?

By the way, I love this radio. I think the small size and the ability to record 50 hours are awesome. For the money, it can't be beat. I am buying a second one at Best Buy tonight to replace my PNP2 that died last night. I have a service contract on that radio and wil lget a credit for $149.

If your radio came with the "FM" plug, you will not have the FM wire in the box as these came pre-FCC crackdown on the FM transmitter. You should be fine without the wire.

Not true, I just recieved my replacement today and the "FM" plug was in the box and the hole on the S50 has the plug in it.

Must depend on how they are stocking the unit I guess.. Some must be older then others... Mine had the FM out pluged and also had the FM out wire included.

Default Here is how to make your own wire

DoublEE posted this article awhile ago with instruction on how to make your own FM Out wire. This should plug into the now plugged up S50 hole.
