Default "no signal" display yet plays and has 100% antenna

My S50 is playing and has 100% antenna yet is showing NO SIGNAL on the display where the artist and title goes. What is wrong and how do I correct this issue?

I had the same thing today. I think there is something going on with the signals causing our units to mess up. I turned the unit off, took it out of the dock, unplugged it, and then put it all back together. I think it fixed it?...........oh great now its messing in my house-i don't know

This happened to me for the first time last week. I took the battery out and hooked up to MSS and it fixed itself.

It's conspiracy time.

Same thing here! COuld play recorded music but no live sig. Had no channels. Did a channel reset and it is now fixed.

Real weird. First time I've had this happen.

Sirius may be trying to fry our S50s to phase them out.

I refuse to buy a Stiletto. Its too big. I like my light small pocket sized S50 and don't need live portable reception.

I have listened to every hour of the Stern show on it since 1-9-06 and will never replace it (unless it is for a new S50).

Sorry, but this is the beginning of the end of your units. You can unplug the power source and plug it back in and it should reset it's self for now, but the problem will become more frequent as time goes by and eventually you will be stuck with "no signal" on your screen permanently.

I'm assuming this is plugged into the car dock as I have had the same issue before in mine. When this happens I undock the s50. Pull the power from the car dock. Now Plug back in the car dock. Now plug back in the s50. It should then reboot fine connected. Sometimes it gets confused

You may have no choice when there are no more S50's around. That is what finally drove me to the Stiletto.

And the `No signal' problem that could be resolved by channel resets or power cycling is different from the one that killed my last S50. My guess is that my satellite chip somehow went south.

I see this now and then. Just unplugging the dock and plugging it back in usually works. Most of the time it happens if you have the unit on and then start the car or something that temporarily cuts power. Since I got a JumpStart box and keep the S50 plugged into that, it rarely ever happens. Plus, the box gives me 6-8 hours of play without affecting my car battery.

Smile same problem

I'm having the same problem. If you are listening to the s50 with the car on, then turn the engine off, I just take the radio out of the dock...start the car up and then put the radio back in. I never see the "no signal" error anymore. This error will only happen when there is a temporary cut in the power. Its a real pain when trying to listen to some good music to have to wait the minute for it to boot back up...but its worth it. I love my S50!
