Default Still trying to connect to Sirius Studio program!

Dang!, tried everything I can think of to get my S50 to connect to the Sirius Studio program on my work laptop, loaded the latest srivers and sirius program from Sirius, rolled back to WMP version 10, and even had the network admin person move over (rename) some drives to free up USB adresses, and I still cannot get the my S50 to connect. Still frozen at the "connecting" message. Only thing I can still think of is a probable incompatibility with Windows XP "Professional" I do get some messages from the laptop that the loaded S50 driver is incompatible with the mobile media player manager in the control panel.
My home computer has the Home version of XP that has been connecting OK with my S50, and it's the only thing that's obviously different with the two computers. Could it mean that Windows XP Professional is just not compatible with the S50/Sirius Studio drivers?? There must be a solution out there for this, I'm running out of things to try! I'm also trying to avoid having to do a full reset on the S50 (3 finger salute), I don't think it will help anyway.
Any other suggestions out there??

I use xp professional fine to connect to my s50 and stiletto too!

I don't know what the issue is, but it does work with xp Pro SP2.

Well, a new related development on my struggle to connect the S50 to Sirius Studio on my laptop. I got to the point now that I finally fixed the similar problem with my Olympus digital camera, not being fully recognized by my laptop. After all that fiddling around trying to adjust and change the configurations in my laptop, the camera now connects properly to download images. Tried to connect the S50 to Sirius Studio after that, hoping I finally fixed the bug, but it still freezes at the "Connecting" message. Went and looked around in the control panel device manager and clicked on the portable media devices icon and got the pop up message that the device has a driver that does not work with Windows Protable Media Manager and that the driver on the device might need updating to work with windows.
Now I'm really thinking that the latest S50 driver is just not fully compatible with some windows media management programs, depending on how the whole windows environment is set up in the computer. Thus, why some of us are having the same problem. The S50 shows listed as a portable media device, but is showing 0 MB of storage space. Damn!, I feel so close to getting this thing connected, but I always seem to hit a dead end.
I'm thinking of getting a new laptop soon. I now hate to think that the S50 will also be having problems connecting to it too.....specially now that I expect these newest laptops will have the Windows Media Player 11, which is not compatible to the Sirius Studio Program. Is Sirius doing anything at all to make Sirius Studio compatible with the latest Windows bundles. If they're not, I would hate to think how it will affect the latest customers with their high buck Stilettos. :^(

OK, here the latest, I decided to load the Sirius Stiletto 100 MSS program to see if it will work. It's supposed to be backwards compatible if the S50 driver is loaded on to it.
The program loaded into the computer successfuly, and so did the S50 driver.
I connected the S50 and actually got it to almost connect. the S50 icon shows up clear with the gear icon and the eject arrow, but right at the last second I get this message which I think technically describes why the S50 is not connecting fully with MSS on my laptop.
Here it goes:

UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Object Reference Not Set to An Instance Of An Object
Target Site: System.StringGetDeviceIdFromDevice()
Stack Trace: at Xena.XenaDevice.GetDeviceIdFromDevice()
atXena.GUI.DeviceSettingsDialog.InitializeGeneralS ettingGroup()
atXena.GUI.DeviceSettingsDialog..ctor(XenaCommonDe vice device)
atXenaDevice.GetDeviceSettingsRepresentation()
atMatterhorn.MatterhornForm.MALSinkSourceListChang esEventArgs args)

I hope I got everything typed right cause I could not save the message.
Thing is, after I hit "OK" on this pop-up error(?) message, the MSS just shuts down, so still no connection for my S50 to MSS on the laptop. Does anyone understand what this message is telling me and what I might do to fix the problem?
