Well, to be honest, for most of us late S50 buyers, we came in during the phase out sale period of the S50 early this year. Most of us can't see buying into the Stiletto at the high $300+ "entry fee" without even a car dock at that price. It's just too expensive.
And us "newbees" are quickly learning on how to deal with most of the S50's quirks. I figure, if we can make it last at least two years, we pretty much have our money's worth out of it, and then maybe by then, there would be better portable radios to consider at the sub 300 dollar price level.
The Stiletto is "beeter" than the S50 in many ways, but I wouldn't consider it perfect either....but that's another story.

Happy enough with the S50!

Have you looked at the Stiletto forum lately? It's not exactly problem free and it has some restrictions that the S50 doesn't...

No Stiletto for me. I live in a resort area with tall condos and no repeater coverage. Portable won't work well here. Plus, I like to be able to let the S50 record all night and then save songs from the playback. Maybe in a couple of generations Stiletto will be OK for me, or if we ever get a repeater. But not now. S50 has it's quirks, but the concept is great.

As someone that has owned both, I can definitely say the Stiletto is 1000 times better than the S50.

I have to agree the stiletto is alot I mean alot better than the S50 because when I had it it gave me so many problems that I just took it back to the store and got a Stiletto.

what's better about the stiletto is that 1.You can listen to live satellite radio on the go.2.Not near as many problems as the S50 and finally it has wifi which allows you to connect to the internet radio.

I never said it wasn't better, but the poster had made it seem like it was completely problem-free, which from what I read doesn't sound like the case.
