Unhappy Aaahhh!!!

Ok so heres the deal and anyone who can help would be much appreciated.. by the way not too down on all the technological lingo so bare with me ...
I just bought my S50 and have downloaded the updates and installed the car dock. The problem is that 90% of the time when I put it in the car dock I get this ....acquiring signal forever and ever. If I turn the S50 on and off sometimes it plays the music but does not display the images or song titles. I have the antenna placed on the roof of my car... just like it should be. I also have found that if I reset the channels on the S50 it will work flawlessly for all of the time period that its on. The next time I use it in the car dock I have the same problem all over again... Any ideas?
Very unhappy..
but I also heard a bunch you saying you saying you were having trouble receiving signals.... so I figure what the hey maybe you can help out..
Thanks so much...

Get your S-50 and go to your door and throw it as far as you can. Your reception will be just as good!

Whenever I start to have issues like the one you describe, I do the following. Power the unit off (if you can). Remove it from the car dock, and then place it back in the car dock and let it refresh it's self. be sure to have the dock powered up before placing the turned off S-50 back in the dock.

I just unplug the car dock, then the S50 shuts down automatically, then I plug the car dock back in and the S50 starts up like normal.

Works great, I think I got the idea from MeRubin - or somthing similar.

Unhappy Heyy...

Thanks for all your help! I actually reactived my service like someone else on the forum suggested. That helped my Acquiring Signal problem.. however now it just says No Signal. It plays the music but doesnt display the song titles and whatnot. I tried to reset channels that did nothing. I also tried taking the S50 out of the car dock removing the battery for 10 sec and putting it back together and onto the car dock. Nothing. Same dealo No signal but I can still hear music. I checked the Satellite recieving. That bounces back and forth from about 50% to 100% with the same occuring with the Terr. Any more ideas? Thanks again!

opps... And I do believe I have updated to the latest Firmware. Correct if I'm wrong but that is when you go to my sirius Studio and update from there with the S50 right?

Who is this Big Foot, it is?

Well, time for an abbacco break, it is.

(leaving humming `I drive a big, white cadillac, it is, and I get around, if you want to know the facts, I can be found, where it's at, I'm DC bound,'........)

It is what it is, it is.

I had a similar problem where whenever I went under a bridge for a split second I would lose signal, and the signal was just weak in general.

I did connect it to the USB cord and the My Studio Software and it updated some files and fixed it.

Sounds like you tried that though and nothing helped, it is.
