Default 2008 - 09 EPL / UEFA / Celtic - Soccer Schedule

It's that time of the year. Sirius begins broadcasting Soccer games in just a few days. This thread will be used to give you updated schedules on kickoff times and just general talk about
the Barclays English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and Celtic FC.

Good Luck to all your teams out there this season (except Man United),... and i'm sure all of us soccer fans are looking forward to another long season.

Celtic should be on this sunday, but there has been some sort of snafu in terms of broadcasting terms. Thus you dont see it on the Sirius Schedule on Sirius.com
It should be on in the coming weeks though.

I couldn't find the Celtic game on Sunday. Did Sirius lose the rights to the Celtic games ?

It's very possibly but its just a money issue with Sirius thats pretty much it. They contract IMG Media ( http://www.imgworld.com/sports/soccer/default.sps ) to do all the production and broadcast duties of the premier league and champions league matches... so any additional games they would add, Sirius would have to pay more, for them to do more work so to speak.

Even though the soccer talk is gaining more popularity on sirius, you wont see "wall to wall" coverage for a bit longer.
