Default Jim Rome Fans?

I am planning on writing to Sirius suggesting they get Jim Rome's show on somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions on how this could fit into the lineup on any of the sports stations? It's the only time of the day I listen to my regular radio, except for occasionally listening to Don and Mike and I CAN'T STAND the screeching AM signal, or if I'm in my car the great "buzz" you hear when you go under power lines.

Anyone else that would listen?

I have asked about Rome as well. I was told that his show is syndicated by Clear Channel or something and since they own part of XM, Rome won't be on Sirius. I would love to hear the jungle!

I'd enjoy hearing Rome too. I think that he overmarkets himself...but I enjoy his show!

Oh no! I just checked and Premier Radio Networks is owned by Clear Channel! Well, there goes that idea, I might as well not even waste my time in writing to Sirius. I guess it's safe to say that I could probably just go ahead and buy the streaming package for the show.

I also agree that he overmarkets himself, but he has a huge ego. He's going to be in New York "on business" on Monday, and there was a little hope in me that maybe just maybe he'd be talking Sirus. But being in New York on a business trip could mean anything at all since there are probably a million companies there. :\

I am not a fan of Jim Rome. I think he is full of himself and his show is boring after the first 10 minutes.

I would like to seee Sirius get a Fox Sports channel to rival ESPN. I mostly listen to ESPN sports radio but I listen to the AM radio on the drive to work to listen to Tony Bruno.

XM has a Fox Sports channel. Sirius should get on the ball.

I agree. Rome is a has been that needs to do a program change. His crap gets old real fast. He is a knowledgable guy though.

I think SIRIUS is definately on the ball with sports. I would much rather have ESPN, NBA, NHL, and most importantly the NFL channel and ALL the broadcasts from the NFL games then a FOX sports channel and NASCAR. How could you even compare XM sports to SIRIUS sports?

I think they could use another sports talk channel. XM has espn, fox and sporting news...but then again, I am a sports junkie....

I think Sirius should look into Sporting News Radio, or something to go along with ESPN, but it's not a huge deal. After all, the NFL is what got me to choose Sirius over XM. I can't wait til the football season starts!!!!

Default Sporting News Radio

I agree with adding both Fox Sports Radio AND Sporting News Radio.

I didnt say they werent on the ball for sports. In fact, the reason why i chose Sirius was for the sports. I just would like to see them get Fox Sports, and really the only reason for that is i like Tony Bruno better then MIke&Mike in the Morning. Every other time of day i listen to ESPN. Colin Cowheard is good (although i liked Kornheiser better) and Dan Patrick has the best show on the air IMO.

I've never heard Sporting News Radio and the two sports talk stations on Sirius other than ESPN/ESPNews i havent gotten into yet. Can anyone recommend a show from those other Sports channels.

Default sports talk programming

Just my opinion of course, but SportsByLine USA and those local shows that they rebroadcast are a total waste of space. No recommendations at all for any of that stuff.

I'd be all for adding FSR and SNR to the lineup, they both have quality programming...but as a sports fan, I'd also have to say I'm already well served by Sirius' lineup, and probably do not have the most pressing need for improvement!

I think Tony Bruno is the best at sports talk, and I would love for Sirius to somehow be able to get him. I live in Maine, and I can atleast listen to his show over the net when I am at work.

Sporting News Radio would be nice as well. I too think SportsByline USA is a complete waste.
