I can't believe a Kings fan is calling MY town a bad hockey town! Try finding hockey talk on any station in LA outside of a post-game show. It all Lakers all the time. Even the Kings flagship station is like, "Sorry to interupt hour 9472 of Kobe watch, but it's time for a hockey game...tune back in a few hours and we'll have continuing Lakers discussion and take your calls on Lakers topics." Heck try finding someone who wants to go to a game with you. In terms of the LA sports scene, I'd say the Kings rank pretty low. Far below the Lakers below both baseball teams, below the Clippers, lower then the Oakland Raiders even.

Look, I feel bad for the fans in Quebec City, but the economics of the game were working against them. And without Roy (whom the Canadiens would have NEVER traded to the Nords), this team wouldn't have had all the success it had.

The Divelanche site was kind of funny; I liked the quiz. It will need to be updated to reflect the loss of Forsberg. :\

As further evidence of the lack of interest in Kings hockey, I tried to find a site like divelanche.com focussed on the Kings. Nobody cares enough to create an anti-Kings site!

BTW, newest King Jeremy Roenick will be throwing out the first pitch at a Brooklyn (errrr...LA) Dodgers game soon. Most Kings fans won't care as Kings tickets are cheaper and easier to get than Dodger seats.

Manco needs to post about his Shark love, so I can dump on them too! I don't JUST hate the Kings!

Oh, and one more thing...RED WINGS SUCK!!

Rumor has it that Houston is picking up a NHL Team. My money is on the Edmonton Oilers in the office pool. I also hope that I am wrong, Edmonton deserves a Team. Money talks as usual.

That story still going on dang! When I use to live in Houston when the damn Oilers finally left town! Owner of the Rockets - Les Alexander was trying to bring the Edmonton Oilers to Houston and we were going to have another Oilers team But that deal feel threw because of the Compaq Center being small, and what I remember they were going to try and build a new arena and land a expansion team! But never happen. I hope Houston does get a Hockey team soon!!!

I lived in Dallas when the Stars announced the move but I follow the Avs all the way. I was also in Denver at the time they announced the Nordiques move. We also know that LA never supports anything unless they are winning, that is what flash and trash towns are all about.

I went to a Avs-Stars playoff game last year when I was working in Dallas, my wife came up from Austin to go to the game. Of course, it was the only one that Colorado lost in the series, but it was a good time anyway. I think the City of Dallas got screwed with the AAC at $300 million, at least for those patrons not in the suites. The arena in OKC was much more functional, not as "oppulent" but it seemed to work better and not get as crowded especially considering the fact that it cost $100 million, and its already paid for.

I will be cheering on the Vancouver Canucks. I have been a fan before they were in the NHL, back when they played in the Western Hockey League. Back in those early days we could listen to the games on cold nights by AM radio out of Vancouver. The Canucks have resigned Markus Nasland and Brenden Morrisson. Hopefully Todd Bertuzzi will be reinstated and we will have the hottest line in the NHL, with a great defence to back them up.

I see a few Av's fans have responded here, there is abit of bad blood between these two teams because of the Steve Moore, Todd Bertuzzi incident. Well I just checked out the schedule and the Av's and the Canucks play a couple of back to back games on Oct 27, and 29th, and Nov. 27th and 30th. Wow, those will great games to watch. It's great to have hockey back again!

You're right LoveDog, those should be nice. Getting to play the extra divisional games will be sweet for building up heated rivalries. Looking forward to the first puck to be dropped!

I think it is apparent who my favorite team is.

Also like Calgary, since they were my original ATL team.
