Default NHL and Comcast?

Just curious about the NHL deal with Comcast and the face ESPN will not match their offer to broadcast the NHL this year.

Does this affect Sirius and our ability to listen to the NHL?

Cheers

Hoping the answer is NO.

You're in luck, this was only about TV broadcasting rights... no affect with SIRIUS.

I believe the deal was for 7 years from the 2003-2004 season, but I am not sure if the lockout year is included or not, so 5 or 6 years on the contract are still left.

Flyers born and raised. Even though I am going to the first game of the season some how I will miss booing everytime lindros steps on the ice in that game but I will try to get tickets to toronto also.

BTW to you LA fans. I wouldn't be surprised around the trade deadline if those future considerations you gave us for Roenick are in fact for roenick.

Sad to see LeClair go. The pens are going to love him.

No they won't, he's been on a downslide ever since the LoD line was broken up. Injuries and age have caught up to him. He brought nothing to the Flyers last season. Dead weight and as much as I liked him, was happy to see the salary cut. Same for Amonte.

JL will probably have his traditional big game against the Habs and now probably the Flyers too, but other than that, will be a ghost on the ice.

Damn, it's been a while since I've posted on an NHL topic on this board! (I've had SIRIUS since before it had the NHL.)

As for my team, I'm a fan of the L.A. Kings, baby! (Cheers, Ramona! ) I'm looking forward to seeing, Luc, J.R., Pavol & Valeri put their skills to use in SoCal. Hopefully, our goaltending will hold up better than the last season.

I also give love to the Canucks, Ducks & Sharks as well. The West is the best, IMO!

I probably should clarify. I liked LeClair and yes the salery cut was great. I would have rather him sign for a pay cut but and be a contributor to the locker room. In any case I am looking forward to the boooing games of flyers/leafs.

Then you guys need Dale Hunter and Mike Ridley.

Go Flyers and Stars!!! The rest of the Conference has zero chance.

I know of another team in the eastern conference that has a change. Toronto. They have the chance to be the 3rd team see their money wasted on a no talent hack carl, i mean eric lindros.
