Very happy that the Texans picked up their first win over the Browns. At least if the Ravens lose against the Steelers tonight, we won't be in the basement of the AFC North alone.

And the 49ers beating the Bucs?

Wow.....a little too close for comfort. Hats off to the Ravens for playing a great game. But in the end our D made plays when we needed them and Big Ben proved once again that he does a lot more than just hand the ball off.

Phewwww.....

Very good game last night. I tip my hat to the Steelers. This was the kind of game I really hoped it could be. The offensive line looked a lot better than it has in previous weeks, and everyone played hard. We were able to move the ball pretty well, but just couldn't get into the endzone. There are a lot of positives to take from the game, and hopefully we can salvage this season (playoff run is all but impossible, but I'm hoping for an 8-8 season).

Went 10-4 this week...not too bad.

Week 1: 6-10
Week 2: 7-9
Week 3: 9-5
Week 4: 7-7
Week 5: 6-8
Week 6: 12-2
Week 7: 7-7
Week 8: 10-4

Overall: 64-52

wow.... what an exciting close game between the Steelers and the Ravens. I wasn't able to watch the whole thing... Watched each team's first drive in a Sportsbar in Denver Int'l.... then flew to Albuquerque. Got into a cab in Albuquerque and asked the cabbie the score... 17-16 Steelers...
Checked into my room and watched the final 5 minutes! Wow... what an exciting finish. Hats off to the Ravens for such a competitive game.

Sure am glad I recorded it so I can watch when I return home.

Last week, I would have picked the Bengals over the Ravens in a second. But with the Ravens performance in Pittsburgh, I definitely think we have a shot...provided the same team shows up.

I'll be at the game on Sunday cheering them on

Anyway...here's the schedule for week 9, my picks included as always...

Sunday, Nov. 6

Atlanta at Miami
Carolina at Tampa Bay
Cincinnati at Baltimore
Detroit at Minnesota
Houston at Jacksonville
Oakland at Kansas City
San Diego at N.Y. Jets
Tennessee at Cleveland
Chicago at New Orleans (Baton Rouge, LA)
N.Y. Giants at San Francisco
Seattle at Arizona
Pittsburgh at Green Bay
Philadelphia at Washington

Monday, Nov. 7

Indianapolis at New England

Open date: Buffalo, Dallas, Denver, St. Louis

If we can not stop Jamal Lewis then we will not win, if we hold him then we should win.

Ok, I'll be the first to say it. Indy loses this weekend. Yes, you heard right. Indy loses this weekend. All good teams need to lose a game or two before the playoff. Look at Pittsburgh last year. They should have lost a game or two before the playoffs last year. Then they would have breezed through the playoffs and won the Super Bowl.

Indy needs to lose. And this is as good a time as any to get your ass handed to you.

As for Pittsburgh, Nothing to worry about. It's Green Bay.

And as for my 49ers, losing builds character. By the end of the year, you're going to have a lot of character. Don't blow it by winning this weekend.
