I'll hop in for the playoffs...

Winners:
Steelers (as long as failed Bronco Tommy Maddox doesn't see any playing time.)
Giants (edging out the Broncos turned their season around )
Patriots (Book your flights to Denver, boys!)
Redskins (They have Portis--ex-Bronco )

Not good enough.....

I didn't watch the game...I only heard the last painful quarter & a half for the Jags. I understand it was a sloppy first half.

Did Jags have a chance at all?

The first half was pretty close: Pats 7-3. But in the second half the Patriots really stepped up the defense and Brady started to look like he was more comfortable and it was all over...

Tampa shut the Redskins offense down. Tampa needs a QB, didn't like Simms at Texas and he still can't win the biggame.

Simms had a great pass that should have been caught for a touchdown, it went right through the receivers hands. I think he played a tough game yesterday but I agree that he needs more experience to win the big game. If you liked defensive football it was an awesome game. I don't see Washington winning next week.

Rizzy,

Congrats on a great season....I know the Bengals will be back next year. Unfortunate what happened to Palmer...I would have liked to see what would have happened....but anyway we move on to the Colts....does anyone think we have a chance?????

It just depends on which Washington team shows up to the game. They beat Seattle earlier this year both teams playing well. The skins defense is extremely solid, but defense isn't going to bail them out agains Seattle. They will have to put points on the board. I'm going to pick the skins as the cinderella team of the playoffs along wiht the steelers. I swear, when the Pats get into the playoffs they become a different team. While they were good during the season, they just flat out clicked yesterday. Hopefully Manning won't choke this year. I would like to see him go to the show. One thing is certain, the AFC is going to kill the NFC this year.

From all appearances, one would think "highly unlikely" but as someone said in another thread on this forum, the game is played on the field so you never know.

From what I saw yesterday, Cincinnati was able to move the ball through the air pretty well against the Steelers secondary during most of the first half so one can only imagine or dread what Indy will do, especially if they're playing on all cylinders.

One slight advantage Steelers have is that they played them earlier in the year so they'll know what to expect in terms of the crowd noise, et. al.

And...will the Steelers be able to run the ball at all against Indy? It will be difficult meaning that the Steelers may have to try and the operatorative word here is "try" to keep pace w/Indy.

I was thinking back to our game with Indy....yeah they beat us bad BUT... there were some positive signs: Take away the first play and the onside kick attempt at the beginning of the second half and the Colts have minus 14 points....In reality our defense had Manning confused in that game. Also that was Bens first game back. He looked very rusty. Now hes playing his best football yet....We have a chance.

GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went 3-1 for the first weekend of the playoffs. Damn Steelers. I think that game could have been completely different if Palmer hadn't gotten hurt.

I was very happy to see the Giants get their asses handed to them, as I can't stand Eli Manning.
