Default Alstott...2 point conversion good or not?

What did you guys think? Maybe I'm partial, but it did not look good to me!

It was tough to tell but the one shot of his elbow hitting the ground made me think he didn't get it. But I don't think the replay had indisputable evidence to overturn the call. That being said, as an Eagles fan I was glad the call didn't change.

Cowboy fan here so I may be biased too.

But I really don't think the ball broke the plane before he was down. No absolute proof in the replays though.

There was one replay that absolutely showed his elbow hitting the turf short of the goal line. Even instant replay isn't perfect.....

I don't think there was irrefutable evidence to overturn the call, but that said, I think they blew it when they made the call in the first place. If they had called him down in the first place, they wouldn't need a replay, because they would have had it right in the beginning. The replay was very inconclusive to me, but I don't think he really made it.

No doubt in my mind, it was a bad, bad call.

Joe Gibbs submitted the one replay showing Alstotts arm short of the goal line to league officials today.

Did I miss it or was the replay in the link?

No video, just a link to an article. You have to read.

Not very compelling without seeing it. Gibbs is always crying about the officials so him claiming it wasn't good isn't convincing. I didn't think Alscott got in but never saw a definitive replay and was interested in seeing it.

ok... try this:

Alstott's elbow

It's a big download so better have a broadband connection, but it shows the evidence. Check the video at 1:18 and at 1:35 and you can see his elbow hit the turf.

The file's name is BULLSHIT.... don't let that deter you.

It was no good. It is a shame that the referee had the benefit of a television replay and did not make the correct call. I firmly believe that he did not overturn that call because Gruden had challenged two calls earlier in the game and they were not overturned.
