Despite some questionable officiating calls, Seattle was never out of this game. They had their chances and opportunities.....let's start w/the first half....Seattle was moving the ball on Steeler D's, Alexander was running pretty good, Hasselback was throwing the ball very well and yet......they only had a 3-0 lead. After the questionable TD by Rothlesburger......Seattle was able to move into scoring position and with some very questionable time management near the end of the half, had the opportunity to put 3 on the board.......missed FG.

3rd Quarter.......with the Steelers going for the kill, Herndon steps in front of the receiver, runs it back to the 20...and the Seahawks score....momentum swings towards the Seahawks......marched down the field and INT.....Steelers get the ball back.....don't think they scored on that possession but their next one, the reverse then the TD......I didn't understand why the Seahawks weren't ready for the gadget play.

The Seahawks got screwed!

You Steelers fans say what you will. They made some decent plays. But, the referees made some ticky-tack calls all the way throught the game, especially when Seattle got close to (or in) the End Zone. Seattle got robbed because the NFL wanted Bettis to go out a winner as a "feel good" story, and 3/4 of the country wanted Pittsburgh to win.

And no, I'm not a bandwagon-er fan. I've been rooting for the Seahawks since their inception. Worst game I've seen officiated in a long time. Those refs should not get to be in a Super Bowl again for a long time.

You whiners need to get a life. The Seahawks cooked their own goose. The squandered opportunities and like mytesirius said, they exhibited poor clock management at some critical times. You don't audible for 20 seconds when you only have 40 seconds on the clock!!!!!!

No matter what all you whiners want to think, the STEELERS got one for the thumb this year. And the Steeler Nation's going to enjoy the moment no matter what the whiners say.

CONGRATULATIONS STEELERS!!!!

Congrats to the steelers on BUYING there Super Bowl win!!! It's the only way it could add up.

I'm just curious if the Steelers got enough extra SB rings to give one to each and every official who refereed in each of there playoff games?

Yes the Indy game was almost taken away from you the refs made some very horrendous calls and the super bowl the refs made some very horrendous calls against the Seahawks. Either way the nfl needs to do something with the refs. The whole playoffs and most of the year they were absolutley terrible. That is one thing almost all NFL fans can aggree on.

I cant believe that I have to sit here and defend this victory. I will admit that this game was not the best but someone address these:

If Ben didnt get in its 4th and 4 inches or so. Do you really think they couldnt make 4 inches. Ben gets the snap and holds the ball out in front of him and guess what, touchdown.

What happened to the MVP of the NFL? Do you think the Steelers holding him to under 100 yards had something to do with this victory? Alexander was a non factor in this game, period.

How about clock management by the Seahawks, do you think that cost them some points also? At the end of the first half they could have scored and didnt. At the end of the game, they could have scored and didnt.

The Seahawks totally dominated the first half and what was the score at the half, STEELERS 7, Seahawks 3. How can you dominate that bad and be LOSING at the end of the half?

So you see, the Steelers won the game and the Seahawks lost it. Yes the officiating had a hand in it but so did the above statements. I will not sit here and let my Steelers get dissed and say that they were given a championship. They earned it and they did it in a way that NOONE has done before, 4 road wins in a row.

He didn't get in. Period. All from within the 5 - how can you assume 4th down would be any different? If Ben didnt get in its 4th and 4 inches or so. Do you really think they couldnt make 4 inches. Ben gets the snap and holds the ball out in front of him and guess what, touchdown.

He ran all over the Steelers, over 4 yards per carry.

They might have, but the refs were still cheating. wouldn't have mattered.

Tell me about it! you make my case. Taking TD's off the board - have something to do with this?!The Seahawks totally dominated the first half and what was the score at the half, STEELERS 7, Seahawks 3. How can you dominate that bad and be LOSING at the end of the half?

It's a cheap victory, period. Celebrate, but it was a gift championship.
