Default Now the Depression sets in

Ok, I'm happy right now. I enjoyed the game, happy with the outcome. But...............

I can already feel the depression setting in. No more NFL for 7 freaking months.

Well last year was hell, cause hockey helps fill the hole, but there is a hockey season. Plus the Nashville Kats have had a great start in the AFL.

But still, nothing quite like real NFL football. Damn, 7 months, this sucks.

I know, its depressing isnt it. The warm weather, bloomed flowers and trees, longer days and the babes walkin around in less clothes is such a depressing thought. Makes me wish it was 30 below and snowing out right now.

The NFL does have the best regular and post seasons but college football rules. Only two months until the Spring game in Athens, Georgia- Go Dawgs!!

A couple of other sporting events to look forward to in the off-season

1) Winter Olympics
2) NCAA Basketball Tournament- March Madness
3) MLB's spring baseball championsip between countries.
4) NASCAR
5) PGA
6) NBA playoffs -don't they start next week and go to June.
7) NHL stanley cup- see above
8) MLB regular season

My cure for post-football blues is the Super Bowl DVD set that they released. It's great. It's basically the highlights NFL Films put together that you see on ESPN from time to time. It also has some bonus features. I can watch those over and over again. Also this season, I began to tape the Monday night games, so I now I have a few keepers from the season if I want to watch something more up to date. Around this time, I'm more focused on basketball, but once that season is over, the DVDs come in handy.

Nine days until the Daytona 500.

Someone needs to remind Doria Biddle about that. There is a cure for post-playoff depression.

There's always NFLradio on Sirius to tide us pro football junkies until training camp! There's the NFL draft coming up in a couple of months.

I'll probably tune into the Winter Olympics and the NBA playoffs. I'm not into baseball or hockey. And college basketball isn't my thing anymore.

Default There's stuff!

No! This is why we have the NFL channel. You have the pro-bowl coming up, when trade talks begin, trades happen and new coaching staffs settle in. Shortly after we have the NFL combine workouts, followed by the NFL draft in about 2 months. Mini-camps start after that followed by training camps so actually, there is no off-season.

Unfortunately only the NFL and NCAA football holds my interest, plus there are no CFL games broadcast in the states that I know of. I'm trying to get into Arena ball, but it just isn't the same. I just can't find any redeeming qualities in sports besides football and hockey. Guess I'll have to find another hobby after the NHL is done! Luckily, the NHL lasts waaaay into June, only leaving a month until the NFL machine is in full gear with signing, training camps, and lots of news.

I'm getting ready for the NFL Draft.

I listen to the NFL Radio as much as possible, when I'm not listening to Howard or Bubba, and get my fix that way until the season starts up again.

I'm pretty sure a couple of guys in stripes were helping him raise the trophy...

Even if the guys in the stripes were "helping" him, it was still a very sweet sight!!! I see Cowher getting more than one before he retires, maybe Atlanta will be rewarded with a Superbowl and the Steelers can send out Hines Ward in his hometown a champion too!!!

They are going to have the combine on the NFL network so maybe that will ease some of the depression....
