That might not be the case for example bowl games are different kind of like the NCAA turniment in Basketball. Last year Sirius didn't cary Michigan vs Nabraska like someone earlier mentioned but they caried the schools this year. I have heard roomers of the SEC going to XM, so it will prob happen. Sirius lacks in College sports big time if that happens. I also heard they will lose Michigan USC and UCLA after there contracts, because of there conferences beeing on XM. SOmeone needs to tell Sirius how popular college sports are, and maybe if they have even a ounce of smartness to sign the big12 so we can have one major Conf, o wait we will have Yale vs Harvard game every year because I doubt xm would want that

I'd be really surprised if these bowl games are on 120. That's ESPN Radio and I don't see them pre-empting that programming to broadcast these bowl games. They haven't pre-empted it before. I know that ESPN Radio is doing a ton of bowl games this year, but I know the Poinsettia Bowl isn't an ESPN Radio game.

As a side note, for those that have both services (Sirius and XM), all but 3 bowl games will be broadcast on one or the other. The 3 games that won't be on either service are the Texas, Liberty and Cotton Bowls. Ironically, those 3 games happen to be the only 3 bowl games that Westwood One holds the national radio rights for.

They will be on ESPN Radio. Thats why ESPN Radio gets the rights to them, so they can have live programming.

Westwood One....score one (or three) exclusive(s) for terrestrail radio. Boy, the Rutgers fans could really be in a pickle considering the TV broadcast is on NFL Network and they don't get that (unless the olive branch is accepted by Time Warner).

Jan. 6 International Bowl - Cincinnati vs Western Michigan

No sat rad for these bowls either.

The Motor City Bowl was on Sirius 181 (the ESPN Deportes Channel) on Tuesday night. I listened to the pre-game show.

The International Bowl will be on Sirius 123 on January 6. According to the following page on Sirius' website.

No, you figured nothing out. If the contracts were up, then the Florida and the Kentucky Basketball games wouldn't be carried on Sirius this week (and they are) along with alot of other schools they have contracts with- West Virginia, Michigan, South Carolina, Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, Syracuse, just to name a few, all have basketball games on Sirius this week.

My guess is the bowl games require that they have the entire rights to the "national broadcasts" which probably includes Sat. Radio. This allows the bowl games to sell the rights to these broadcasts exclusively to sat. radio.
