XM Radio to be Exclusive Satellite Radio Home of the 2007 Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Championship Game
College Football Fans Tune Into the XM Sports Nation Channel for Exclusive Satellite Radio Play-by-Play Broadcasts of the Tostitos BCS National Championship, AllState Sugar Bowl, FedEx Orange Bowl, and Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio will be the exclusive satellite radio home of the 2007 Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Championship Game, offering college football fans complete play-by- play coverage on XM Sports Nation (XM Channel 144) as top-ranked Ohio State takes on number-two Florida on January 8.

Under an agreement with FOX Sports, XM will be the sole satellite radio network for the BCS National Championship, Allstate Sugar Bowl, FedEx Orange Bowl, and Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

"For college football fans, the only place to hear the BCS National Championship game on satellite radio is XM," said Eric Logan, executive vice president, programming, XM Satellite Radio. "XM has all the play-by-play action, plus the pre- and post-game coverage, and you can see the score in real time on your XM radio display screen. Being the exclusive satellite radio home of these BCS games is one more example of why XM is the ultimate destination for college football fans. With more than 5,000 live sporting events a year, XM has the best sports package in satellite radio."

"FOX Sports is excited to reach this exclusive satellite radio agreement with XM Radio," said Larry Jones, FOX Sports COO. "This partnership insures that millions of XM subscribers across the country will have access to the most important games of the college football season."

XM Radio offers 40 different sports channels among its 170-channel line- up. XM is the nation's number-one satellite radio company with more than seven million subscribers.

Michigan wasn't even a conference champion. How could they be a national champion? Florida deserved it. If not Florida, then Lousiville, but not Michigan.

Don't give me this crap about Michigan not being a conference champion. Thats a load of BS in my opinion. Where does it say in the BCS rules that you have to be a conference champion in order to go to the National Championship Game? If you find it, please post.

So your argument is put any team in the BCS title game except Michigan? Again, a load of crap. Isn't the title supposed to put the 2 best teams in the nation, and not the best team and the most deserving team? Michigan is the #2 team in the nation. They went into Ohio State and lost by 3 points. If USC had made the championship, I would not argue this, but to move Florida over Michigan on the last week of the season? Conspiracy....

Bottomline, Ohio State will roll. Bend over Urban Meyer...

Sirius just keeps losing shit to XM and replacing it with shit. They will prob lose the NBA since they never put it out there they have it. On the Christmas sports add they say Soccer and don't even mention the NBA. I am pretty sure that more people who can get Sirius like NBA rather than fuckin English soccer.

I guess bowl games are different. You can catch every Nebraska and Michigan game during the season, but you couldn't get the Nebraska-Michigan bowl game last year. It wasn't on either Sirius or XM...

Well I'll be watching LSU on TV, so I am not too concerned about them not being on SIRIUS for this game. But its the long term SEC that I am concerned about, will these teams be back on SIRIUS next year or not?

I am covered one way or the other, because I have subcriptions to both services. But SIRIUS losing the SEC wouldn't be a good thing. I Loved the ability to listen to LSU, Saints and with the thought of NASCAR coming too. I guess you can't have everything.

if the sec goes to xm i am ok. i have xm ..but some of my friends dont they just have sirius and they would be very upset! and we cant always watch the games because of our jobs. and the fact that sirius doesnt have an sec contract is the part that is worrying everyone. contracts with the schools expire this year i believe. literally..in 2006. so thats why the bowl games arent on here..i think i just figured this thing out
