Post ESPN vote....

In a poll today at espn.com 46,000+ or 75% of the people polled said they don't want to see Barry Bonds play this up and coming season, what is your take?

I agree, I don't really care for his attitude during the scandal. It's just one excuse after another. He shouldn't have the privilege to break the holiest of baseball records, fully knowing he doesn't deserve the crown.

I'll be very disappointed to see a record like Hank Aaron's 755 home runs fall to a piece of crap like Barry Bonds, but unfortunately it seems inevitable. My 2 cents.

I want him to go away but don't care if he breaks Aarons record. Barry's stats from 1999 on are hollow, and regardless of how many he, hits the public knows the truth and no one will recognize the record as his.

Actually, I believe the first year he looked to be on the juice was either '97 or '98, my memory is a bit foggy on the time frame. Hell, it could have been '96.

I agree in part about how shameful the record chasing has become, but it is the steroid era, who knows how many others were on the juice or greenies or whatever. I wish Bonds would just go away, I'm so tired of feeling like my team is being held hostage.

I think MLB has something to do with all of the Bonds news leaks. I think they're embarrassed by Bonds and the fact that he will break the record this year. Another thing to consider...this year the All Star Game will be held in San Francisco in the park that Bonds built and the record will be a VERY hot topic. Even the Home Run Derby will be a joke. Everytime a lefty hits one into McCovey Cove it will another reminder of the man who made a living hitting the most home runs into that cove.

Barry give San Francisco a chance to distance itself from your shame...just go away.

Bonds is a boorish jackass. He should go away quietly.
