Default "Best of" questions

Will it be 4 dollars per radio?
Will sirius/xm give us a free month or so of it?
Will we get any of the best of xm online?
When can we order it?

I would imagine so
I'd assume probably not. I haven't heard anything suggesting so.
I'd hope so. I don't see why not, if you subscribe to it.
I have heard that Monday, October 6th is the date.

I don't like the fact that if I buy the new XMp3 I cannot add the new radio to my account (as a Sirius subscriber). They are 1 company, right? As I understand it, I have to pay the FULL XM subscriber cost!?

I know what you are saying and think it should be $6.95/month for additional subscriptions if you choose to add an XM subscription as a Sirius subscriber. But for now, it looks like Sirius XM is acting as two separate companies under one roof.

I think its a matter of time. They would have to syncronize customer databases. I hope sometime before next July when my XM comes up for renewal however.

I contacted XM the other day, and asked about the best of Sirius package, and when they were going to start offering it and the guy said in two months maybe. Does this guy just not know what he is talking about, or is there a delay we haven’t been informed of? Also do you think we can sign up online or do you think will have to call in? I miss hearing the NFL games, but Sirius doesn’t work in my house, so I am ready to get the NFL back.

CSRs are not always the most informed. It starts Oct 6th. No idea how the signup will be.

Sirius doesn't work in your house???????
Did you put an antenna outside?

Don't rely on repeaters, it is, after all, satellite radio. I set mine on a shingle, some tub/tile caulk holding it there, wire through a window, barely ever a drop out in 2 years.

I am a BIG proponent of hooking up in your house. You are missing out on a lot by only listening in the car.

Well I should have said apartment, so I can’t just put an antenna outside without getting yelled at. I also am blind, so I only get to listen in a car once in a while, so I am really missing Sirius non internet content pretty bad. That truthfully is the main draw back from satellite radio, but maybe when the radios come out that can receive XM and Sirius that will fix things possibly. By the way Sirius’s coverage is so much better than the NFL field pass service, because sometimes with that you can be listening to a game and they just cut it off and start playing music, it just seems unorganized. I’ve thought about placing an antenna on the window ledge outside, but I bet the apartment complex would yell at me.

I subbed to "The Best of XM" this morning and am listening to XM Public Radio on Channel 196 right now, they keep mentioning that it is on both services now. I am not sure why so many people think it is the 6th because I have the channels as I type this.

You folks notice that the NBA games are now part of the "Best of XM" package?? And the XM website mentions nothing of carrying any NBA games. How can it be best of xm, when it's not even on XM?!?!?!

I was so happy this morning, now i'm pissed.

I think this is a clever way to make NBA premium content.

Sirius.com has no mention of the NBA. XMradio.com has no mention of the NBA.

Sirius.com/nba mentions "Best of XM." But XM radio.com has no mention of the NBA (perhaps they're really super-slow over there?)

I'm smelling it as premium content. Of course, if you want NBA PbP, then you get stiff-armed into getting Oprah and O&A, which only serves to "improve" their numbers on Sirius.

Something smells shady.

I hope it's a matter of XM being slow, there isn't much on the Sirius best of on the site from what I found. If I get NBA as part of the best of sirius package along with Howard's 2 channels I'd be estatic. Why not? After baseball is over, those channels just sit idle for 5 months, might as well run the NBA content, if it's legally possible.
